John Harker
Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Nice. The industry isn't that bad off then.
Your sarcasm hurts

what do Ni no kuni and 3ds have to do with each other?
He must have thought Ni No Kuni was a 3DS game. What is this and what do Ni no kuni and 3ds have to do with each other?
Good for Ni no Kuni. But is that good for SW sales in general, as it's 7th on the individual SKUs.Ni no kuni breaking 100k is super impressive
He must have thought Ni No Kuni was a 3DS game.
But because it was mentioned:
- Top selling Vita Western third-party games = COD Declassified, Assasin's Creed III: Liberation. Both > 600K.
- Top selling 3DS Western third-party game = Angry Birds < 500K.
Whoot! Go Vita Go!

for one, it's called 'ni no kuni'
it's also a jrpg, on one system, and those things haven't done too hot on consoles this year. it lacked a big marketing campaign too.
Sure... spoil my fun.I wouldn't mistake global shipment numbers as NA sell thru numbers
I thought the comment at the end would have made it clear I was joking. So much disingenuity in this post. You're using worldwide shipped numbers, including bundles, to compare to non-bundled U.S. only numbers.
Good for Ni no Kuni. Bad that at that level it's 7th on the individual SKUs.
Give the thing some time, it just came out not too long ago, yea it had a horrific month and it's not looking good but let the games start coming in and let's see what happens.
The industry is not looking good right now even if you ignore Nintendo's fuck ups. You can blame it on generation fatigue, but if MS actually goes through with this used games mess we could be headed for a crash or a least the death of many more studios.

Were the 3DS and PS3 numbers posted?
I'm honestly surprised so many people would buy a game called Ni no Kuni.for one, it's called 'ni no kuni'

A spoilered "" would've worked better.
PS3+WII = ~300K
Nothing on 3DS, though.
It didn't get much marketing, huh. I assumed it got a bit because I don't remember anybody lumping it in with Allstars and Sly (with all the recent talk of Sony's lack of marketing on podcasts).
I guess breaking a 100k is quite a feat, in that case.
100k is just a guess based on Ninokuni's ranking right?
Surprising strong PS3 sales considering how poorly it did last month.

So the dead wii is outselling the wii u. Nintendo have really fucked this up.
This is a photoshop? What was the original?
Didnt DS outsell 3ds for a long time?
The DS wasn't dead at that point, though. It was still being propped up by Pokemon releases until late last year.Didnt DS outsell 3ds for a long time?
Didnt DS outsell 3ds for a long time?
Didnt DS outsell 3ds for a long time?
And there's the difference farnham. Was the DS as dead as the Wii is in terms of software when 3ds released...?
really glad to see low WiiU numbers. Arrogance should be punished.
I'm not sure that we're looking at a case of arrogance here. Maybe ineptitude... or a lack of preparedness... but arrogance?

If Microsoft and Sony both pursue preventing used games, perhaps. The industry is not looking good right now even if you ignore Nintendo's fuck ups. Perhaps in the assumption that "second screen/tablet/off-screen/asymmetric" would be the new motion control. Although that could be ineptitude rather than arrogance.I'm not sure that we're looking at a case of arrogance here. Maybe ineptitude... or a lack of preparedness... but arrogance?
What Games?
They have nothing to show for
E3 is in June... they will announce all the heavy hitters (hopefully), but then how long until those come out
From now till E3, there's jack shit coming out for it
I think you're giving Pikmin too much name recognition.Pikmin 3 is the only game that could push the WiiU sales slightly over 100k until august/october (what was the release date for WW HD again)?
It definitely isn't arrogance. Ineptitude sounds about right.
I think you're giving Pikmin too much name recognition.
Wind Waker HD is slated for Fall, which means October at the earliest.
Maybe i was a bit optimistic here but i think pikmin 3 could sell at least decently if they combine it with a price cut and some marketing.
i was thinking x could honestly do the trick. x is probably at least a year out, though.
game & wario is probably april, wii fit u in may, and pikmin in june, july, or august. who knows if they have anything else ready.
