Here are my tentative predictions...subject to change dramatically depending on further retail indications.
[PS4] 190K
[XB1] 149K
[3DS] 104K
[WIU] 70K
[360] 51K
[PS3] 29K
Lol at applying outliers when the console hasn't even been out a year yet. Come back in year 2 and 3. These doom and gloom forecasts based on short term data is getting boring to see every NPD.
I wouldn't necessarily attribute that solely on the leader, but sales aren't great all around when we draw back from how things used to sell in tyr past.
It's true across the board.

PS4 - 190K
I was absolutely, positively dead-on this month with my PS4 prediction.
My predictions:
I'm proud of this fact.
GAF, you already know about the 30K differential. Don't make me confirm it.
Any consoles that weren't fads other than the PS4, XB1 and WiiU?
Good God no!
Not in my case at least.
To be selling that many units a month they'd have tapped into a heretofore unseen gaming market. Making dedicated gaming systems, not only huge, but the defacto standard for a gaming style I happen to love.
I'd be singing praises.
GAF, you already know about the 30K differential. Don't make me confirm it.
So only 340 between both the XB1 and PS4? Pretty disappointing for new consoles, in a market like the USA in my opinion.
What about Wii U numbers, how were your predictions on that?
Stop begging for numbers.
Good point. TBH, Madden didn't become completely tied to Xbox until about 2009.
Madden on the 360/PS3 was in a funk for the first half of the gen which kept the PS2 version of Madden relevant for a longer amount of time than originally expected.
Lmao Nintendo would have killed for n64 sales to be as good as ps4 sales.
I over-predicted :-(
I over-predicted :-(
I'm hoping they're up about 72% gen/gen, purely for my predictions, lol.
To nearest 5K:
70% ~ 255K
71% ~ 295K
72% ~ 335K
70% on the dot would be bad, anything about 72% or higher is at or above my expectations.
I doubt he'd say 75% as "over 70%, so we're probably at 74% up at max.
PS4=190k
XB1=160k
MOAR

Oh well, not surprising I guess. No major releases since MK8 right?I over-predicted :-(

Pachter told me ps4 sales decreased.
I mean, the numbers are so sad....that are funny.
Vita is a gigantic failure that everyone predicted.
I over-predicted :-(
Next month is where it's truly going to be at. Destiny is going to sell a shit load of PS4s.
Stop begging for numbers.
God, no they weren't that bad!Wasn't August a 5 week month?
If so, it did.
So the Madden bundle was good for about a ~30k boost. About what I was expected.Last month was this.
PS4 - 187K
XBO - 131K
Depends on how much less than 70K.Wii U < 70k? That is ok I guess.
The N64 was the market leader in the US during its first year or so. I can't find the chart, but I remember it having bigger monthly averages than the ps4 post launch has had.
Wii U less than 70k. So sad.
But this comes from the company who punished me for buying multiples of all their games.
After the wii fad yes.
Fastest selling non-wii for now but the streams will cross with PS2 in the first half of next year at the latest. If you look at it's performance since January it's simply been doing good numbers, but nothing amazing: certainly nothing that inspires confidence in the console market as a whole.
I'm 6k and 3k off for XB1 and PS4. Sweet. That's a good start for me
