Wonder how bad wiiu dropped
The big question: Is Madden Bundle + XBO version sales > PS4 version sales?
Madden bundle doubled Xbox One console sales?

Why is that surprising? How many more PS4s are there in US?
That has to be shipped. That is not what the data is showing for sell-through.
True. But wasn there a CoD sale within that month? The effect of platform branding.
Sony NPD statement:

I thought it was just the season pass Wii U wasn't getting, not necessarily the dlc itself

~600K-700K more I think? But still, didn't Microsoft have the exclusive marketing deal for Madden? Plus traditionally Madden has sold better on 360 (which people might have assumed would carry over to the new systems as well), so that's why people are surprised.
What we need to find out is if Madden PS4 > Xbone Madden bundle + stand-alone. That would be very telling.
Though for some time the PS4 version of Ghosts was outselling them. PS4 version even did a million before the XO version. The effect of platform branding.
Why would it be otherwise? Seems like a pretty quiet month.Yup this is the big question now.
Also PS4 > Xbone again this month. Hmm.
Classic Microsoft spin! Releasing shipped numbers on NPD day...how much more devious could they get?
It's an indicator more than anything else. Doesn't paint a complete picture, but if your console consistently starts selling more copies of Madden than your direct competition, you're doing pretty well. Or at least, that's historically been the case.Madden isn't really surprising is it? System with the bigger user base sold more
I'm unsure actually, but I was more thinking Warner games on the Wii U in general.
That said I'm not sure if Warner DLC ever released on Wii U.

Thanks for the info, Cosmic.
Ouch, so MS is now trying to report shipped numbers in NPD discussions?

Where the heck is this coming from? Only 2 people quote it and it's already fact? SMH.

Dudestation 4
So if the PS4 was #1 and the Xbone sales doubled...how many did the PS4 sell? 0_0

I seriously doubt XB1 sold around 260k in August. It must mean for the week of release or something
Otherwise PS4 jumped up considerably too to take the #1 spot
Edit: lol shipped
Can someone use the math and give us PS4+XBO sales for August?
I'm pretty willing to take Warner Bros. at face value on this too because they'd really obviously release the DLC if they thought it would make money.

That's not good. That has to be shipped. That is not what the data is showing for sell-through.
How bad does it have to be to not include DLC? I just don't get it. Not having a physical release makes sense if the game doesn't sell, but it can't cost THAT much to include DLC on another platform (especially one that sells more copies of software than its "next-gen" rivals). If it was about bad attach rate, they should just have a lot of platform specific DLC sales to get the WiiU audience used to the idea of DLC.
Why would it be otherwise? Seems like a pretty quiet month.

Calm down, it's from MS.Where the heck is this coming from? Only 2 people quote it and it's already fact? SMH.
