NPD Sales Results for December 2014 [Up2: Nintendo Sales Notes]

Without digital, says less than one might initially think.
So more than 500k but a bit less than 600k.
They have a very nice upcoming Feb and March with exclusives and the Show is upcoming. What should they do if putting out compelling games doesn't work bundle stuff and sell at a loss for one market when they are in the lead overall?

Oh, yeah, I didn't even notice. How did Smash manage to outsell all of Dragon Age combined?? That was as AAA a game as you get.

They still sold by the truckloads without having to do massive price cuts and promotions, why would they need to do anything?
MS is the one that should be worrying given that after all they did it really does seem the X1 lost steam in Dec.

Since combining all platforms into one, was it always the case where the order the platforms were written in meant that's the ranking of units sold?
Sold well in november and was nothing on top 10 too.

Sony will drop PS4 price the day after Xbone overtakes it in the US. Which may happen... in May or in June. They are not yet in a big rush with January and February around the corner (BLOODBORNE will put some massive sales for PS4 hardware).

They're catching up in the US. The PS4 in all likelihood still outsold the Xbox One worldwide in December.

so even after leading hardware sales for 9+ months in the states, sony is already that close to losing the lead to mS? that either means the monthly sales gaps weren't huge, or the xbone sold PHENOMENALLY better than the Ps4 the last 2 months.

Props to Xbone for another good month but I would be VERY curious to see what the Digital sales are combined with these. I feel like every month the software numbers become less relevant without Digital sales being reflected.
Worldwide it's highly likely the PS4 sells more. But in N.A it's disproportionately skewed towards the Xbox One with a lower install base to boot. Seems some people can't accept the numbers as is. Some sort of magic going on.
I kind of doubt it. I think they'll come in at around 800k or so again.
Because they won 2 months in a row in the US?

Am I the only non American who still can't get used to seeing FIFA as a regular Top 10 best selling game in the US of A??? Just a few steps away from NBA and Madden?
