Is this within the same time frame?
Yes, those are their first year sales.
Halo 4 was released on November 6, 2012 and Halo 5 on October 27, 2015. They both had around 2 months of tracking.

Good LORD at that decline. Man I really wonder what MS / 343 are going to try to do to right the ship
Woah.[December 2012 LTD] Halo 4 (US bundles not included + UK bundles included) ~ 5.4 million.
[December 2015 LTD] Halo 5 (US bundles not included + UK bundles included) ~ 2.05 million.
That doesn't make sense really because it's not actually a bad game by any means. You have the die hard a that hate it because it's not halo 2-3 but it's an extremely competent game all aroundI know this won't ever, ever happen, but maybe it's time for another developer to take the reigns from 343i

Only thing I can think of is launching in maybe August or July next go round or an off month.
donny, April will be interesting.
How do you define what is most anticipated. I don't think there is anything but previous sales in a franchise that can be used and Uncharted is not one of the biggest in those.

But they already tried to COd it up and that backfired. Maybe people just don't want to play that type of game massively anymoreDifferent launch date wont do anything. You dont decline like that because of the date. Thats the market sending a strong message about what they feel is the state of the franchise
interesting, these were all in the month of december?
So a 60% drop off between two mainline releases. That's a serious decline.
It would still be a 50-40% drop off of you added in digitalNot that bad if you add digital into consideration.

Division should depend heavily on reviews and the ability to explain what kind of game it is.
From screenshots and artwork alone you could first think it's just another Modern Warfare clone.
A comparison with Halo 3 would be nice.
Since Halo 4 has the benefit of the "install base"
Not that I expected it to be on the charts, but anyone got numbers about how Xenoblade X did during December?
What are the install bases of the consoles during these time periods? What are the attach rates of the games to their install bases? Would be useful for further comparison.
Good LORD at that decline. Man I really wonder what MS / 343 are going to try to do to right the ship
Quality does not affect week one sales all that much. Stuff like marketing and hype do a LOT MORE. And The Division is going to be Destiny for the COD crowd.
Its gonna be damn big opening week / month. Question will be how it legs out
It's not a matter of install base, for example here are Halo 3 sales by the end of 2007 when Xbox 360 install base was below Xbox One.
LTD as of December 2007.
US - 4.82 million / UK - 0.74 million [Total - 5.56 million]
Is there any title besides Division launching in March? Only other one I can think of is Zelda.
I think it'll do over 1 million easily. Even Hardline managed it.
It would be interesting to know the budgets for each of these games. We will probably never know.1886 ~ 357

So Halo 4 sold less in the same time period as 3? Interesting. Do you know about Reach as well? I wonder when the audience for Halo was saturated. I'm guessing between 3 and Reach.
I don't know if id buy that because the two strongest Xbox markets (US and UK) have higher xb1sales than the 360, so I don't think it's a matter of people jumping ship.I strongly believe that what you're seeing with Halo 5 is that many jumped ship this generation from Xbox to Playstation, and the rest of the lost sales are from those that haven't jumped in to this generation yet. Changing the developer or the game won't fix a thing, the sales of the next installment will get better when XB1 has a bigger installed base and when the ones who jumped ship has realized that they can actually afford to own two consoles. Halo 5 is a great great game, you really can't blame the decline on the quality of the game, a big chunk of the core 360 crowd who played Halo to death online and offline simply play on PS4 this generation. You can even see this just by looking at GAF and how the talk goes in any Xbox vs Playstation discussion. Xbox simply isn't as popular anymore.
Ehhh until dawn started as a move game than was switched to the ps4 and used on the shadowfall engine with no marketing. Meanwhile the order looks like one of the best graphical games so far this gen,had plenty of commercials. I'd probably give it tp the order but than again who knows. It would be interesting to know the budgets for each of these games. We will probably never know.
Well we atleast know that until dawn exceeded sales expectations and the devs are happy and working on another game!Wow at 1886 outselling Until Dawn at retail!
I thought Until dawn would be doing significantly better than that given all the positive WoM and all the Let's Plays.
-Put RPG mechanics into the game.
-Add dating sim elements.
thanks
wow, so bloodborne can make it to 3m WW hopefully

Huh, I thought Rise of the Tomb Raider did 200k in Nov and 210k in Dec, how is it only at 345k?
I have sometimes read that how come Bloodborne sales were over 2 million units worldwide, well, now we have more concrete data.
We know that it has sold 754,000 units in the US market, let's add what it has sold in Canada and we have that the total in North America has to be around the million mark including digital.
In Asia Bloodborne was awarded with the Gold Prize which means that shipments (including digital) were over 500,000 units.
Finally, European Bloodborne sales were at 406,000 units by the end of June, let's add the additional units sold during the following 6 months + digital sales and the total will increase notably.
With these 3 regions Bloodborne LTD is already well over the 2 million mark.
Makes you wonder what their expectations were...
that is a cute gif.Why you gotta remind me man.
that's awesome, if true. it's a shame though i've been hearing there won't be a sequel to it :\I think it already has including bundles
