Didn't consider that. I would definitely take a percentage or two off the Wii U and add it to the Xbox One number though. 45% for PS4 seems right.

What baffles me from June NPD results is that Sony sold very few units of that cool PS4 controller with a screen they talked about for a couple of seconds during E3.
Once again it's because all of the casuals from the Wii left to tablets/phones and never came back.
If im not blind every slice is surrounded by another slice color. And thats not red nor purple wtf people.
It wasn't even in stock for most of June.

So 20% of Tomodachi Life's sales were digital. That's incredible.

One issue we'll have with interpreting the pie chart is that you use the Wii U numbers given as basis for the total when historically they can be a little different and cause problems in that way

Perhaps she, as someone with NPD info, is implying that the chart is actually Wii U/360/PS3?
That doesn't matter. I'm not saying that is the reason it isn't selling better than it does. I think other factors such as initial price and thus the launched network effect are very important.
But Microsoft gambled against well understood principles of psychology.

No, to be fair, each block does have an outline, and the one is a kind of deep red color. I'm pretty sure most people are talking about the main colors though.

I don't even think it is that to be honest. Simply put, consumers hear one machine is more powerful than the other and you are paying the same price, why would they (unless they have a big love for a specific IP that can only be found on the xbox) go to the weaker console. Whether we like it or not as Gaffers, most people play 3r'd party games, they are the big ones that sell a lot more than console exclusives. People will play them on whatever machine they can, and if two competing machines are the same price but all the consumer knows is one is actually more powerful, in their mind they just go "why would I buy a weaker machine".

The price cut was to compete with the Sony. It's not going to all of a sudden beat Sony because or price parity. It will take numerous xbox games, continued improved messaging by MS, and time for the Xbox to be even or pass Sony.
Dropped to 15k.
Yeah, my rocket science nets me 266k and 196k.
Maybe we're all wrong (maybe it's the ouya, shield and vita), but it seems to be in that ball park.

So are the Nintendo numbers really good or just good for Wii U? It honestly seems low to me, especially in the month where Nintendo releases what has become their biggest IP. Hard to imagine Smash Bros or even Zelda doing more for the console than Mario Kart can. I guess it's all about sustainability. Will be interesting to see how it does the next couple of months.

We know Wii U sold 140K, PS4 share is nearly twice as large as the Wii U on that chart.
I wonder if the PlayStation Camera outsold it.
