Not Lego City or Monster Hunter, if those fit your definition of "major new releases".
But yes, YAY LUIGI!
They were never major, at least in rational people's minds.

Lego city got a lot of advertising. Most Wii U commercials I've seen since the launch. They were never major, at least in rational people's minds.
But the Wii U is newYowza. New consoles needed ASAP.

Didn't Reggie put Luigi at around 400k just the other day?

Disappointed another sequel tops the chart.

Does MLB usually chart that high?
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon sold nearly 365,000 physical units in March, and has now sold more than 415,000 combined physical and digital units to date.
Fire Emblem Awakening sold an additional 64,000 combined physical and digital physical copies in March, and has now sold more than 240,000 combined units to date.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity sold more than 145,000 combined physical and digital units for the month.
Total sales of Nintendo 3DS software at retail increased by more than 50 percent over March 2012.

I didn't think it'd move units, but I sure thought it would outsell that crappy zombie game...It obviously didn't work. Some people read way too much into that game.
