I'm sorry but 311k for Titanfall month is fucking terrible.

MS is screwed beyond belief if they could not beat the PS4 in America this month. It's hard to put into words how screwed they are.
 
Where do we go from here?

We go to 2-1 then 3-1 to pushing towards 4-1. That is where we go. We have returned to the normal.

Seriously in utter shock here. I mean Microsoft spent 8 full months hyping Titanfall. Greatest game ever made. Journalists going nuts all for it. Must have system seller. Big hyped FPS in the US market. No f'in way it doesn't just go nuts over here.

Then ..... Can't even beat the Ps4 for the first month?

Legit shock for me. Sort of. As I said in precious threads I just did not feel the hype of the release from the people around me. The people MS were targeting

Wow, really says something if you sell you're brand new console to major retailers at a $50 dollar discount with the "killer app" being free alongside it.

Xbox needs to reassess themselves this E3.
 
311k isn't even a 100k increase to february which was a 4 week month
so February:
258k/4 = 64.5k per week.
and March:
311k/5 = 62.2k per week.

IT'S A DECREASE IN SALES PER WEEK???!!?!?! TITANFALL anti-systemseller confirmed???
 
Also 5 million shipped to stores, weak shit MS .......... what's the sold through? ...... 4.2 - 4.3 million.

Sony have at least a comfortable 3 million lead.
 
LOL! Xbone is only 5 million to retailers while PS4 is 7 million sold through? WOW. No more exclusive deals like Titanfall happening for MS anymore.
 
I don't see what's so surprising about the hw numbers. PS4 was beating XBO month after month right? People really thought Titanfall would have that big of an impact?

Remember, if you have your TV connected to your Xbox One then when you are watching TV...you are using your Xbox One. No doubt some of that time is being swallowed up by just watching TV.
 
LOL what? I didn't think PS4 managed to win hardware despite Tittyfall and various Xbone discount.

And I'm shocked inFamous managed to get to number 2. Despite competition from everything else on PS4 (all software on next-gen except Lego are the highest on PS4).
 
Can't believe PS4 beat Xbox One against their biggest exclusive. Wasn't it Major Nelson that said Console Wars should stop... if Microsoft were #1 PR wouldn't be saying that.
 
311k is still quite a good result for the system even with the caveat of having unofficial price drops and an official free game bundle.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for Xbox One. Microsoft has nothing left, nothing they can reveal tomorrow would fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for any one, hardcore or casual, to substantively invest in a Xbox One. Except if they want to play Titanfall. Which will also come to PS4 at some point.

Sony took the last reason away that anyone would NEED to own a Xbox One over a PS4 (except TV SPORTS KINECT LOL GAMING), and the cavalcade of tiny titles that will be nice but won't stir up any sales is not going to salvage the bloated, overdesigned behemoth that was Xbox One.

There may be some hardcore gamer's that stick around. Some did it for Gamecube. But the last bell tolled. Maybe next decade.

Damn impressive considering the Xbox One is in less than half the markets that the PS4 is in. Come on, Let's not exaggerate. Titanfall is a very important release, no doubt about it, a very big release for MS and the Xbox One, but let's not start pretending like it's Halo. It has the potential to be a lot bigger, I still believe that, but it isn't there yet. As a multi-plat release I can see it being as big or bigger. Once everybody can play it there will be a lot less reason for people to keep forcing out "Meh, nothing special." :)

No. According to NPD Group figures released today, Titanfall for Xbox One AND PC was the number one selling game in March. Since we don't have the exact numbers, Second Son could have outsold Titanfall on Xbox One and the PC sales just pushed it over.

NPD provide their paying customers the individual SKU charts too. I'd presume the Xbox One SKU was the best selling individual title based on this, and we'll know for sure when we get Sony PR if they don't trump Titanfall as the best selling individual SKU.

The media certainly went overboard hyping Titanfall. I'm actually shocked gamers didn't fall for it.

I honestly did not see PS4 edging out the X1 this month. Consider me truly shocked.

I do not think Microsoft is out for the count. I don't think anyone truly thinks that. I believe E3 will hold several surprises for them. I do, however, believe that this is a huge wake up call for Microsoft and there is no longer anyway they can ignore the fact that they now need a price drop STAT. If not even the month with the most marketed "true next gen" game can put them on top, they need to do something drastic.
 
Game Over. It's all PS4 from here on out. No wonder Microsoft was doing all those special deals and not realising numbers for TitanFall.
 
Wow. Just...wow. After everything that Microsoft had done for March: The lower price tags. The fire sales. The TitanFall bundles. The big marketing push for the game.

All of that, & they still lost to PS4.

Hang it up, Microsoft. You're done.
