NPD Sales Results for November 2015 [Up3: Combined Hardware For PS4 + XB1 + Wii U]

You're wrong, the >4.6 figure is without bundles

Interesting, as I thought George had said that COD was slightly ahead on XB1 even counting the bundle...

XB1 42% of 4.6m = 1.932.000

PS4 41% of 4.6m = 1.886.000

PS4 bundle: 251k

combined: 2.137.000 PS4

I really think since Sony has gone to the paid online system MS started many are not going to have both systems like we did last time.

This is a very real issue for MS. It's one of the main reasons I'm hesitant to pickup an X1. I think an equally-important factor is the massive amount of games available on consoles now vs. the same time in the life of the PS3/360. There are so many indies and cross-platform games available that I can't work down my PS4 backlog fast enough. A second console would just make it worse.

Thanks CS!

Also I guess it would be interesting if possible to see how the music games did(GH, RB and Just Dance especially the Wii version) or the Japanese games Tales, DQH, D5. Anythings appreciated!

I don't remember him saying that, but he said this:

Including bundle units, the flagship 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' skyrocketed ahead its next-largest competitor with a whopping 4.89 million units including bundles, or 4.607 million units when you just look at the software side of things.

You're wrong, the >4.6 figure is without bundles

Okay, that's what I got mixed up then.

EDIT:

41% (PS4 sales) = 1.89 million. Add that with 251K for the bundles and that's 2.14 million.

42% of 4.6 million = 1.93 million

So yeah, looks like 2.14 million (PS4 with bundle sales) vs. 1.93 million (Xbox One).

This is an "issue" for me as well. I just have so much to get through on PS4 alone that it just wouldn't make sense for me to invest in another console even if I wanted to. I chose the PS4 as my gaming console for the generation because I felt it would meet my gaming desires the best over an entire generation.

Okay, that's what I got mixed up then.

41% (PS4 sales) = 1.99 million. Add that with 251K for the bundles and that's 2.24 million.

42% of 4.851 million = 2.037.

So yeah, looks like 2.24 million (PS4 with bundle sales) vs. 2.037 million (Xbox One).

Why are you using 4.851? the splits are for 4.607

Yes, and I figured out what the PS4 version did without bundles included from that split. I then added PS4 bundles sales to that (unless I made another mistake haha).

Edit: Oh wait, the Xbox number. Okay, I see now. 2.14 million (PS4 with bundle sales) vs. 1.93 million (Xbox One) then right?

Its around 205k when all said and done, but with the percentage tolerance 200k seems a sensible approximation

Did Cream mention SW bundling numbers?

Mario Maker and Yoshi have good legs at least. Splatoon did quite nicely too. That puts it at 240K for the month. It was at 600K as of September, so a million seems like a lock for the US.

42% of 4.607 is 1.935.
41% of 4.607 is 1.887 + 0.251 = 2.14

It was that easy >.>

Edit: I see you figured it out ^^

What's the last game here?

Don't seem so .

FO4 < 2.38
4 ~ 53.11%

Even with bundles think PS4 would still be ahead by few thousand .
Fallout 4 on Xbox One wins by like 10k or something ridiculously small lol

Anyway looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X at minimum doubling Amiibo Festival and Ultra Smash combined!
pfft aim for triple

Could we have the first month sales of these ultra niche titles?

Rodea the Sky Soldier, Stella Glow and Sword Art Online: Lost Song.

Second month percentage drop of Dragon Quest Heroes would be nice too :)

I know I'm asking too much :P

Lol... Tomb Raider. I mean I pick the game up, but damn... Hope that deal work out for them.

There has to be some type of wording in the deal that sales numbers determine how much they pay for it being exclusive. SE would have to protect itself against the possibility of such a sales failure that just happened.

You are assuming that SQE took logical countermeasures for illogical deals

The same applies true for MS as well though.

I can't imagine that they'll sign a deal that will significantly increase/affect their payout to Square depending on the sales.
