Nvidia RTX 6000 Series Expected to Launch in Early 2027

A recent report from Red Gaming Tech has revealed alleged plans from Nvidia for the arrival of the GeForce RTX 60 series, suggesting a launch date for its flagship model.

According to the leaked information, the powerful GeForce RTX 6090 could debut on the market during the first quarter of 2027. This estimated date fits with Nvidia's strategy of launching a new series every two years.

However, the report warns that this preliminary schedule is subject to possible adjustments. The main cause is the arrival of the rumoured RTX 50 SUPER series. While the RTX 50 SUPER series is currently expected to launch in the third quarter of 2026, there are already signs of possible delays.

If the RTX 50 SUPER launch is postponed, Nvidia might be forced to delay the RTX 60 series. This move would aim to ensure a proper technological and temporal gap between the launches of the two generations of cards. Additionally, external factors — such as the roadmap of competitors — could also force changes in the timetable.

Another Nvidia card that only exisits on Gaming forums and not in stores.
Oh look another 5070 sitting on the shelf that no one wants. Soon it will be part of some Sora AI Disney short on Youtube.
Youtube keeps putting dozens of make fun of Disney stuff in my feed.

It'd be dumb to think they would do 50 Super in Q3 and then Rubin in Q1 27. Unless they were going to do something like only do mobile and the ultra end desktop cards.

We are either going to see further delays or decreased value of the 50 Supers or 60 series, unless the 50 Supers are cancelled altogether.

I'm still on a 3090 and kinda wondering whether the super series will happen or just the wait until next gen. If the super series can't be done for the same price as current cards then I say just go straight to RTX 60.

I just want to see the RTX 6060 ti 16gb

And hope it's around 400 dollars while being better than the rtx 5060 ti 16gb by at around 20%

Actually even the default RTX 6060 should be 16gb already as it's no excuse now and definitely won't be a excuse in fricken 2027.

The sensible option is to skip gens so you go 4090-6090 then 5090-7090.

But im not a sensible person
In the case of the 5090, i feel it would be sensible to upgrade to the 6090 is they fix the power connector on the 6090. I'm already power limiting my 5090 to 80% because of the melted connector issue. I might even consider dropping the power limit to 70% because it just produces too much heat.

I hope the 6090 is like 400 watts max. This 600 watt nonsense is ridiculous.

Proper process node shrink plus optimisations - Reckon it will be like the 3090 -> 4090 leap again at 50% gains over the 5090.

Wonder if they will stick with 32GB ram or shift up.

Whatever ... I'm in for a 6090

Well hey is you haven't upgraded since the 3000 series then a 6050 ti might actually be a worthy upgrade. 🤷‍♂️

I hope I do not have to jump through many hoops for 5 months for one this time around and fuck that queuing up outside Microcenter for days.
I wonder how much the 5090's will sell for on the second hand market by then ?

And here I am still happily gaming away on my RTX3060Ti. 😂

Maybe I'll get an RTX6060Ti when they come out, skipping three generations sounds reasonable! 😁

Haven't even found something to push my 5090 yet but still day one for the 6090.

Eh, there's a decent number of games that the 5090 can't run maxed out at 4k/60 without DLSS or sometimes frame gen.

Can always use more power if you're playing on the high end IMO.

Definitely want to see a bigger jump with the 5090->6090 than what we saw with the 4090->5090 though.

You're so rich, let me suck you dry :messenger_savoring:

The 5090 needs DLSS to reach 60FPS and more when path tracing is on max details (Alan Wake 2).
But is that reason enough for a new generation?
Path tracing isn't mandatory. It's being used because the devs are lasy to optimize lighting properly.
The whole path tracing it self isn't supposed to be for gaming . And it's not mandatory in Alan Wake 2. Ray tracing is. And the 5090 eats that no problem.

If path tracing is a must then PS6 is doomed

Yeah i undervolt mine also, runs 100watts under normal
And same performance and as you say much cooler.

600watts is ridiculous

The cost of the cards are insane.

The 5090 dropped in the UK for a RRP of just shy of £2K. Just checked overclockers and there isn't a 5090 at that cost. £2,250 is the cheapest I saw, with one ASUS card going for over £3K.

Wonder what the 6090 will cost at launch?

Oh well, I couldn't wait. Walmart has a PNY 5070ti for $700 so jumped on that deal. Maybe when I build a new computer in 2 or 3 years I'll get a 6000 or 7000 series.

I need more Power this is good news!!!
You are not gonna see 6090 early 2027 if the ram prices don't stabilize.

If the rumors are true about super series by fall of next year, there is no way Nvidia will release a next gen tech card few months later unless only the 6090 is released while the rest are late 2027 to give it a 1 year gap from the super.

Also, red tech gaming is a trash source that knows nothing.i would wait for K KeplerL2 to actually say something about this if he knows.

Expecting +10% more performance for +33% power usage but hey, a small 1.2x boost in all ray tracing features and 16x AI Cores compared to the 5000 series.

Yep I held strong and will do just that.

The 5000 series was more of a refresh than a whole new architecture. Virtually no generational improvement. Just slapped on faster VRAM, added more CUDA and increased.
