Nothing like a good machacado, tortillas de harina and beans

Weekday breakfast is 2oz of almonds.

I've been stepping up my weekend faire though.

Onions, peppers, chopped bacon and hashbrowns all mixed and dumped on a piece of nan bread with 2 poached eggs on top.

Outstanding.

Stinkles

Clothed, sober, cooperative
Bacon, black pudding and a fried egg on a soft roll with a spot of HP sauce and a mug of tea.

Come at me world.

i'm sorry but bread, butter, and sprinkles sounds terrible.

why not just use sweetened butter?

It's chocolate, how can it possibly be terrible? And chocolate butter isn't really popular here and from what I tried doesn't really have the same taste. Chocolate sprinkles have a much stronger chocolate taste. And you got a bit of variety. It can be fruit sprinkles, pure chocolate, milk chocolate.

Also I enjoy the texture.

Literally the first time I heard of sweetened butter. Might not be a thing here in The Netherlands.

Yeah, definitely not popular.

That is one of the social problems leading to obesity. Time is money, always in a rush, comfort and convenient (handheld) manufactured food. Obviously not just an American thing anymore but it is exemplary here.

how does being in a rush/comfort/convenience reflect obesity? it's more just what people were raised on and not thinking about their health.

i can be in a rush and quite comfortable and still eat a healthy breakfast...

i think it's the butter and candy mixture that throws me off...might as well just do peanut butter, nutella, icing etc... i dunno. im sure it's fine.

One of the few things my Dutch mother instilled in new is there is no better breakfast then a sprinkle sandwich or bacon infused crepes with powder sugar.

Maybe that last one is not really dutch...

Breakfast foods are fucking delicious - I never understood why it's only eaten in the mornings while you can eat the same thing for lunch and dinner. Why is breakfast special of the three?

Seriously, fuck that notion. I've made myself pancakes for dinner and had ice cream for lunch. Steak makes a great breakfast.

Break down all the barriers.

Edit: I'd still try some of the stuff in the article, though.

How the hell do you eat bread with sprinkles? The minute you pick it up and bite into it, aren't all the sprinkles going to fall off? Or do you slather on a thick layer of butter to glue the sprinkles down?

My family's really bad when it comes to breakfast. What I mean is our breakfast is pretty uncreative 99% of the time. I could really use this for breakfast ideas.

Probably has to do with the prep/cooking time. I can't think of any traditional breakfast food that has lots of ingredients or needs 30 minutes to bake.

People are impatient in the morning!

I'd never understand that fascination with putting every.single.item in a separate plate. Do people don't care about the water bill? Or the pain in the ass that is going to be cleaning everything?

<3 it's seriously my favorite breakfast of all time, anytime I go out for breakfast it's what I get. I can't imagine living anywhere where I can't get good Huevos Rancheros. Luckily it's all over San Antonio.

America has some damn good breakfast culture if I do say so myself.

I mean I know the article is probably talking about what the average kid in their respective countries eat each day but still. My normal breakfast consists of at least some of these things I posted.

It's an axiom of mine that if I go to a restaurant and they serve breakfast all day, get the breakfast. You can't go wrong.
