Oblivion Screenies (26).

This game is taking forever to come out. They should just release what they have now. I don't care if the game isn't finished or not. I'll buy the final version when it's released.

That's a poor attitude.

but could you play Morrowind on xbox at 1600x1200 with all graphical buffs on?

Considering Morrowind looked like caca even at those setting who cares? This is not the game to debate PC vs Console. :D

Due to a series of misunderstandings, Russian website AG.ru was given an opportunity to play with an early pre-beta build of Oblivion several months ago by the Russian publisher working on localization. AG.ru took these screenshots and included them in a write-up about the game. Since neither AG.ru nor the publisher had Bethesda's permission to publish screenshots, they were subsequently removed from AG.ru, but have recently resurfaced as the game nears release.

The shots are from a pre-beta build. Very few of the shaders are working in them, there's no LOD landscape, there are textures missing, shadows weren't yet finished, many of the settings for graphical effects like HDR had not yet been finalized -- it was a localization build, not meant for review, preview or evaluation.

So...we should continue to nitpick them, then?

That all seems very CONVENIENT! :D

Fine, MSFD, but how could I know?

Those are from Futuremark's forum.

Fuck control mechanics, if you actually need a reason to get the PC version of Oblivion over the X360 version, well, the Construction Kit, bug patches, timely expansions, and cool game mods are four good ones. Of course, assuming precedence wasn't enough to already decide you. Morrowind on the Xbox was a buggy pile.

Exactly....If you have a PC that can run it, and a 360...there is really no choice at all, the PC wins, hands down.

Of course. I mean, if your PC can't run it, then fine. I just know quite a few people, IRL and on message boards that have both and plan on getting the 360 version anway. 2 of them gave the reason that the 360 version would likely be simpler.
