Obscure video game question

I am trying to find out the name of a game I once played in the early 90's

In it, you were a young man in a village being terrorized by the military. You were given your grandfather's (father's?) gun in order to protect yourself.

I remember that there were robots involved, and one level involved a train. I think it was a lasderdisc-type game in the vein of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, though it wasn't a Bluth game. I think it leaned more towards Japanese animation.

I know I am extremely vauge in describing this, but it's all I can remember. Does anyone have a clue as to what game I'm talking about, or am I just crazy?

It was a coin-op machine. I think I played it at an old arcade. It was only around for a week or so, because when I came back it was gone. It's been bugging me for years.....

Wasn't there a part where you were riding in a taxi around a baseball field, possibly with robot baseball players?

Could the name have had some numbers in it, like 444 or 555?
