OCF Thinking! PSP purchase.

One Console Future thought: Now that we've had experience with optical media based consoles, we all know they're prone to failure. Thus we conclude buying with an extended warranty from Day One is the best course of action for protecting our investment.

My quandary is this. . .

Do I purchase a PSP via Gamecrazy, get the Extended Warranty, and the 12 Free Game Rentals with the console purchase; or do I abuse my sister's employee discount and purchase a PSP via her place of employment?

I like saving money, because I so po'! Yet I think it's better to have the safety net of being able to return my device for a replacement should problems arise.

Option C: Obtain part time work at Hollywood / Gamecrazy and abuse generous employee discount?! WAHAHAHAHAHAH . . . =_=;

Obviously not "po'" enough to have to spell "because" as "cuz". :/

And option C is the way to go. Make money, get a discount, and become truly jaded from playing video games all the frickin' time and having to talk to lesser gamers than yourself.

Careful, C might not net a discount on hardware.
Are there any national videogame retail chains that offer employee hardware discounts? Seems more like a Best Buy/Circuit City sort of thing, where you get stuff at or slightly above cost.

Not videogame store, but walmart gives you a discount off of eveything, including hardware. Used a buddys discount to make Walmart lose money on my PSP purchase! :D

My getting PSP + Walmart losing money off of it = great purchase

work at gamecrazy, get a job you bum

Got a job d00d. I need something part time too. Still living below the minimum income standard. :/ Still better than minimum wage and I get to bang on shitty PC's with a hammer while listening to crazy power metal. w00t!

I'm eyeing a part time job that would possibly facilitate my gaming habits, read: save money on rentals, or purchases. Though I fuckin' hated working at Software Etc. Christ that was awful.
