Word going around backstage this morning is that Brock Lesnar was never truly open to returning to the squared circle. However, personally after witnessing Undertaker's weakened state, Lesnar is eager to return believing he has a legitimate shot at ending the streak.

it's legit...rather Brock won or not. Brock gets a nice pay day for working 2-3 weeks and
Undertaker dies after being buried alive and comes back as MMA Taker
WWE wouldn't approve an active wrestler being ringside at a UFC event for no good reason. I bet Vince and Dana have an agreement set up already. Brock fights like twice a year so it wouldn't be out of the question. Besides....Brock owes Taker a job after that awesome HitC match.

NXT: The Last Shot. Eight superstars who have never been champion compete for a title shot, but if you are eliminated from the competition you're released.

Taker and McCool are always at UFC events. If you think Taker needs approval for anything he does anymore, you're nuts. He can pretty much do anything he wants.

someone hire this man.

What the hell is going on with this thread?

Shit, you guys are weird!

Let's talk about actual wrestling for the actual wrestlers, guys. Everyone knows UFC is fake, and WWE booking is genuine. You guys need to take your conversations to AIM because this shit is ridiculous.

Now. Rey Mysterio vs John Cena! What a match! OVR 99 vs OVR 99!

The goal is to get out of the WWE, not to come crawling back. Only the ones with nothing else going on do that. Lesnar ain't coming back.

So you're saying that the WWE is kind of like porn.

Yes, and have Goldust win. Everyone else, "We Wish You Well". Santino will return later down the road using his Russian MMA specialist gimmick.

5 matches including the womens.

I guess there'll be a tag match hence why Dashing and Drew didn't make the team.

Probably Fart Dynasty and ends with them breaking up.

As reported in last week's Dot Net Weekly audio show, Paul Heyman feels that his negotiations with TNA came to a close a while back when Dixie Carter refused to grant him the power to make talent changes without her consent.

Heyman's budget plan called for roughly $1 million in talent cuts, and $200,000 in talent additions via the indy and international scenes, meaning the company would have trimmed $800,000 from its talent budget. He was also frustrated that his job description wasn't laid out in specific terms.

Heyman wanted to hire former WWE creative team member Dave Lagana and Dragon Gate USA booker Gabe Sapolsky to work as part of his office team. However, Heyman insists that he has moved on and would pass if Carter reached out and offered him the same deal he was previously seeking.

So you're buying heymans spiel? He never intended to go to TNA.

He just wanted to see how far she'd go.

To be fair, TNA's problem isn't their talent. It's their booking.
It's been like that since it's inception.

The focus needs to be on the in ring product. That could really win people over. They arent getting good matches out of WWE with it's bland in ring style.

What reason would he have for working TNA and wrestling fans on this? What stake does he have in generating interest in TNA?

I buy it. He's done everything he wanted to do in wrestling, but he'd come back for the financial security for his family and if he didn't have to deal with any of the bullshit he dealt with in the past.

Bah - we need real competition between the two companies & this would have done it.

What a waste.

I think he was interested in having a certain position in a wrestling company rather than simply wanting to work for TNA. TNA didnt give him that so he wasn't interested. Also he wanted to bring in Gabe Sapolsky and more guys from the Indy scene? Sounds so awesome :(

Seriously. Shows how clueless Dixie is as well - Heyman and Sapolsky have to be regarded as two of the best bookers in the business, and you can only assume that the $1m's worth of talent cut would mostly have come from the overpaid, ageing has-beens that have been allowed to shit up the place since Hogan came in, leaving Gabe & Paul to build storylines that make sense and that people actually care about around the great young talent TNA already has, and the best available talent the indies and international scene has to offer. Something like that would certainly set TNA apart from WWE and offer a viable alternative to PG, rather than what TNA is offering now; a shoddy re-enactment of the worst period in WCW history.
