Just watched Smackdown. Was a good episode with some really good matches. Kaval had a good promo with
the Big Show backstage and his character was actually going somewhere when he lasted five minutes in the ring with Big Show.
BUT then
some caveman (Tylor Reks I think) debuts, challenges Kaval who accepts and gets pinned. An absolute momentum halt and everything that was done right meant nothing...
.

Also, the tag champs
were actually winning single matches before becoming a tag team, yet now they both lose one on one? They'll probably be having a tag match at the PPV, but regardless this does make them look weak.

Besides that stupidity, it was a solid Smackdown with quality matches.

*edit, Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards tour of Japan got off to a winning start as they beat Kensuke Sasaki & Kento Miyahara in just over 10 minutes when Roddy hit the Sick Kick on Miyahara for the pin - it was, however, a non-tournament matchup. The ROH duo's first tournament match comes against KENTA & Atsushi Aoki this Sunday.

So far the standings after the first day of the NTV Jr. Tag League look like this;

BLOCK A
1. Taiji Ishimori & Ricky Marvin [1]
-. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Satoshi Kajiwara [1]
2. KENTA & Atsushi Aoki
-. Great Sasuke & Kenbai
-. Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards [ROH]

BLOCK B
1. Dick Togo & Yasu Urano [2]
-. Jack Evans & Extreme Tiger [2]
2. Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi
-. Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki [0]
-. Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada [0]

Ishimori & Marvin vs Nakajima & Kajiwara went to a time limit draw, but Ishimori injured his knee during the match. In Block B Dick Togo & Urano beat Ogawa & Suzuki and the AAA team of Jack Evans & Extreme Tiger picked up a win against the impressive Osaka Pro pairing of Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada.

"We wish him the best in being a fat crazy person."

I could've gone for that.

Or just a video of Vince saying, "Go on home, think about what you've done. Have a good long look in the mirra. Matt screwed Matt."

Early word is TNA Impact ratings for thursday went up from 1.2 to 1.3 to 1.4.
Told ya.

All wrestling will now be phased out of the product in place of backstage promos, reality show guest appearances and the occasional "Ric Flair bleeds all over the place" spotfest.

Fuck yes. I think Matt will be awesome in TNA. He will be extremely motivated to prove to people he can still go. Plus he will get to be with all of his friends and his brother all the time. Rating is kind of weak, considering the build up to they and the j-wow publicity thing. Being taped probably hurt the rating though.

I forgot about the 3 month wait. It be shocking if Matt came into TNA being in awesome shape.

I don't think Matt has to wait 3 months. You can always turn down the pay and go immediately to another company. Too bad TNA already taped next week's show or he could've shown up.

So glad that fat useless loser is gone now, they never should have brought him back after the Edge thing.

As much as I dislike him as a wrestler and the fact he seems like a dick I feel bad to say you can see a tragic story in his future, he doesn't seem like a stable human being to me.

Apparently Randy Orton was twittering about Impact last night and said alot of good stuff about the show:lol

http://twitter.com/RandyOrton

Won't this get him in hot water? WWE is probably gonna ban twitter soon.

LOL someone asked him who he thought could be champion someday, his answer?

"Cody and Ted, with time. Possibly Wade with lots of time."

Eh, 2 out of 3 ain't bad I guess.

Luckily they could still pull the trigger on Kofi anytime, the guy is way over, let him talk a bit first then fire away.

I agree. And the thing is he CAN talk, he's not great at it but he's not JoMo either. He was totally awesome in the Orton feud until whatever happened happened. I still remember that boom drop off the railing.

Last night's episode of TNA Impact scored a 1.41 overall rating with 1,895,000 viewers, off of a first hour 1.47 rating and second hour 1.35 rating.

The show opened with a 1.53 rating in Q1, which was Impact's peak rating, then continued to a 1.52 rating in Q2. The show ended with a 1.23 rating in Q8 leading into Reaction with the Mr. Anderson vs. RVD main event.

The overall rating was the second highest of the year behind the live TNA Impact on Monday, January 4 (1.5 overall rating). It was the highest Thursday night rating of the year, topping a 1.38 on January 28.

I really thought the guy was destined for superstardom after he trashed Orton's car. The promo he gave there was amazing. It's sad they didn't capitalize on that momentum.

Is that verified? I find it unlikely that's him.

It's him. Besides the "verified" status, he's done things to prove it's him, such as wearing a specific color for his trunks that people have requested and gone back to the wrist tape among other things (like posting pics from backstage at the George Lopez show).

Rick Adelman with the Portland Trailblazers? Cole, it's not the late 80's, early 90's anymore. You think he'd know Adelman is the coach now WHERE COLE LIVES.
