No idea where that came from:

A Gamecube shot:

Looks like a "C"-button symbol where a "Z"-button symbol used to be...

Lock if old, wrong or not interesting... :)

Hillary's going to get the nomination, just get over it.

Seriously though I'd like to see how this would play on the Wii, because I was really confused how it played on the GameCube, and because of that I shrugged it off and frankly forgot about it.

If true, why are all these the Gamecube games that keep getting sequels? Battalion Wars, Odama, Mario Strikers! Next up: Geist 2?

Where is Pikmin 3, Nintendo! Come on! :(

I did. But I can hold a Wiimote while my PS2 is running, that wont make GoW2 a Wii game, no...? ;)
But why would you be? It makes more sense to hold a DS controller. It's just common logic.

You noticed that, yet didn't notice the guy holding a Wiimote!? :lol

I hope for his sake we have confused what he's trying to say... Because yeah, circling a few pixels on a projection screen and not noticing the guy holding the wiimote and nunchuck is...

it says under the pic ( google translation) :
- As for Saito who has great interest in interface, releasing the prototype which it tries to be able to move software 'Odama is sold in 2006' for [nintendogemukiyubu] which, on Wii! In game cube edition those which have become audio input, when using gesture it makes input with Wii remote control, were made probably will put out for experimenting how it becomes, is. “All commands originally are something button one. For example, gathering 100 people A buttons 1. So, when that it is, there is no actual material feeling and the [tsu] [chi] [ya] arm does the [yo]? The importance where many degrees pushing the A button, it has the reality which is close to actuality by the fact that each one person you gather, like this make Wii remote control shake it is”, that, interface has that was explained.

so its just a demo :)

They might have shown a firmware update that allows you to use the Wiimote for Cube games. The Wiimote is a hint, the screenshot is basically a confirmation...

Pikmin is Miyamoto's ET :(

I want Pikmin 3 dammit!

Yeah, but we're also getting a sequel to Path of Radiance, so no complaints here.

Well, that certainly clears things up...

Yeah, but Battalion Wars and Mario Strikers have a lot of potential for improvement.

Also, I doubt that any of these games will interfere with a Pikmin 3.

Well, I actually enjoyed Odama and the Wiimote would definately improve the game. Tilting the wiimote to tilt the board would be far more intuitive than the Control Stick, in this case. Too bad it's a demo.

Financially it would make no sense and the control stick worked well enough in Odama to not warrent a simple port.

what the hell is Odama, who was the dev and publisher?

Odama is a military real time strategy feudal japan pinball game made by the guy who made Seaman and published by Nintendo for the Gamecube

I didn't say it made financial sense: I said it would improve the game. :P

I was just refering to why I said "why?" It would improve the game but from the company's perspective it doesn't make any sense sadly

Pikmin 3 would be far more deserving than Odama. Not only was Pikmin a better game but the series has sold alot more too -name recognition is alot better for sure. Although vastly improved graphics and use of the Wii-mote would definitely add something.

This concept has me intrigued. I'm going to have to track down a cheap copy of it to experience it for myself.

Miyamoto has already announced Nintendo's interest in making wiimakes - I am sure that an Odama Wii would sell quite well for $30 with new controls and maybe a bit of extra content.

Odama would be better suited on the DS. The dual screens for extra vertical space and the microphone is perfect. All Nintendo would need to do is bundle an official headset and I might just get it for $30.

This was a pretty good game. I can't remember what made me stop playing it--but I think it got annoyingly difficult somewhere down the line. But the combination of pinball and RTS really works! I'd like to see someone use the same concept with breakout style play.

I used to ridicule this game every E3 (I think it was at 3 of them?!)--but when I finally caved and bought it last year I really enjoyed it.

I think a Wii-make would still brick, nobody is going to buy this. I suppose they'll replace the voice commands with gestures?

I suppose spit shining the old graphics and tossing in some Wii controls is cheap--so maybe the development costs are minimal. But you'd like to think Nintendo wouldn't stoop to Ubisoft levels here.

Good luck the game is still sitting at $40 dollars at most places :/

The Odama bombed hard worldwide so why would a port do any better?

Plus I'm pretty sure Miyamoto was refering to Paper Mario mostly.
