Matlock said:I won't take the bet, as I'm not a bettin' man--but I sincerely doubt that Phil Jackson can do all that much with the team as-is. With chemistry and talent that rival the Cleveland Cavaliers*, a good coach can't do that much with a bad team.

Btw, what was our bet again?
DMczaf said:Its a best of 3 series!
T-Mac vs. Kobe
1. FG%
2. Points per game
3. Overall team record (tiebreaker = season series)
You go down this season!

Bowser said:Hey, if Charlotte does come close to the 8th seed in the East (let's set it at actually making it as the 8th seed or being 5 games out), then I'll make some Tom Brady/Michael Jordan avatar for you to wear (and seeing as you're going to lose a lot of bets, you might as well sign yourself up for about half a year of Tom Brady/Michael Jordan)!
You on?
NEW YORK (AP) -- San Antonio's Game 7 win over Detroit was the highest-rated of the NBA Finals, though the average for the series was down 29 percent from last year.
ABC got an 11.9 rating with a 22 share for the Spurs' title-clinching win Thursday night. It was the highest-rated show on television for the evening and was the second-highest rated clinching game since 2000.
Over the seven games, the network averaged an 8.2 with a 15 share. Last year's finals between the Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers averaged an 11.5 rating with a 20 share, including 13.8 with a 23 share for Detroit's series-ending win in Game 5. Last year's series was the highest-rated NBA Finals since 2001, 77 percent higher than the previous year (6.5) and 13 percent better than 2002 (10.2).

That Charlotte bet just doesn't have any appeal to me unless the Lakers are involved. How about we make a bet about which team finishes better? If I lose I have to wear some disgusting Jordan or Brady avatar for whatever time we agree on and if I win I will find something equally humiliating for you.*
*Technically that is impossible because nothing is as disgusting, humiliating, or evil as a combination Jordan/Brady avatar, but I will find the next best thing!

BatiGOOOOOOL said:Who the fuck cares about ABC's ratings? This Finals shattered ratings all around the world. Stern was quite happy with the international exposure from what I understand. American fans are just too dumb to appreciate quality basketball and the best Finals in what seems like forever, unlike the rest of the world.
