You literally picked the same defense every play. You were picking it before I would even pick my offense.
Once I found something that stopped Williams curl I stuck with it!
I was a bit surprised you didn't alter, but it made my life easier.
Also that was only true for the 4th quarter.
I'm salty after you called me one dimensional after I just played the same defense for an entire game. I wouldn't have said shit, but you had to fire shots after winning.

Lol I didn't think that was a slight considering 1. It kept working so why wouldn't you keep doing it? And 2. Because I literally sat my safety in the curl route that last drive so it seemed obvious we were on the same page.

Anyone who looks at my depth chart probably has a pretty good idea that I'm playing a ton of man so I doubt that's a big surprise.
I've noticed that the cool thing about cutting down your defense to a few base plays is that you get a great feel for who does what well. I had a good feel for the offensive plan and called base sets then adjusted (swapped corners, spied LB, blitzed DBs, etc.) with the sticks and hot options. I had never done that before the last couple games and god damn it makes a huge difference. Especially something like swapping fresh corners. A couple times that last game I dropped my #2 corner into a flat zone just so he'd be fresh to play man on third down! It was rad, made it was more strategic.
The results looked the same when you only make like one read but believe me, there were gears grinding! Williams was always man up but on the backside that was rarely the case.

and not to ruin my secret strategy, but here is a tip for everyone:
if someone is playing man 2 deep coverage, run the ball.... a lot. they will stop quickly if they are smart
p.s.
unless you are playing the 49ers. then you technically never need to call anything other than 2 deep man but only by the grace of god would you call a zone to be nice!

Yeah, that shouldn't be a secret. And yes, I am holding this team back a ton, Boob. I'll still finish 5-11.
And I didn't even bother doing 2 deep man. I manned up the safety too on a double and I spied the QB on most plays. I don't think a ball ever went to the TE.
