Learning a lot just reading it. No one I sucked last night. I choose Oracle Ceresa and was trying to build up a human army when I should been investing in Elementals.

I think I'm going to choose the Kingdom of Tarth next.

Edit: 11:15? Alright. I'll be half asleep by then or deep into Fallen Enchantress. Someone on Steam remind me about the Madden game so I don't forget!

Today's Steam deals are the best of this whole autumn sale. Need to add to my collection.

Anyone use an Ipad Mini yet? I'm thinking of switching my xmas tablet purchase from a Nexus 10 or Kindle Fire to Ipad Mini.

The Google market place seems kind of fucked right now with Tablet enabled apps. As in, there aren't any. But I don't want to spend 500 bucks on a real ipad, especially since this purchase will be mainly for reading ebooks, playing casual games, and web browsing. Resolution isn't as nice but I doubt my mom will even notice the difference. Plus it sounds like the mini is light to hold in one hand to read books. And the itunes store is fleshed out with content that will run properly on her device. I'd go with the Kindle Fire HD but it seems the silk web browser sucks, and you can't use a different one on the device.

I'll let Madden GAF influence my decision. Google Nexus 10 vs Ipad Mini versus 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD Fight.

Because they are too bulky to be proper Ereaders. The google nexus 10 probably falls into this same category.

I tried out the 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD. It's really nice for Ereading, plus it's light to hold. Shame about the silk browser being crap, or it would be the device I'd purchase.

I do have a kindle fire. I love mine. I want to upgrade to the Paper White model soon.

My mom wants an all in one device. She isn't going to take two different things for travel. She needs her PopCap games.

I'm leaning towards the mini since she already owns an Ipod Touch, and can carry over purchased content to her new device.

I already bought an Ipad for myself, so I don't think my curse affected the platform.

However the 3rd generation Ipad was the shortest generation Ipad.

Hmm, maybe I should give her mine and then buy myself a 4th gen Ipad. Would anyone call foul on that play?

Yes. This is why my wife does this stuff. I take it very personal when someone wants to charge me for someone else's fuckup.

People still write checks out themselves? The bank will do this for you. Or you can pay directly from your checking account online.

Yeah, no doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if that extra room he has been talking about building with his dad was a small, windowless, 4 foot by 4 foot enclosure he keeps her in all day long.
