Figured this was the only place to talk Madden '13... I'm sure you chums are all having fun with the M13 online franchise. I had a blast last year but just couldn't keep up with it this year because of a new job (cue all of my excuses from the NCAA dynasty this year; ie, you're all a bunch of sexless losers). I had been playing an O.F. with 2 friends but got so frustrated by how horrible the CPU AI and playcalling is that we all eventually quit before finishing a season.
I hadn't picked up Madden in like 2 months but decided to plug it in this week and try an offline CCM with whatever the most lauded sliders/settings were.
Well, I'm only ~4 games in, but I am loving this slider setup:

I'm using the "red" set from there and made a couple of mods, mostly reducing the CPU's pass blocking effectiveness (D line was getting pancaked on every passing play by very mediocre lines). Anyway, having some great challenging games against the CPU that play out very realistically... I don't feel like I'm being cheated out of games or that the CPU is ever unstoppable, yet I also don't feel like I can move the ball at will against them whenever I want.
Unsure if any of ya'll play against the AI or do sim franchises on your own, but really loving these sliders thus far. be warned: ~13 minute quarters with runoff down to ~11 seconds, so games will take a bit longer (~1 full hr), and it's All madden so you do have to deal with rip off defenders sometimes, but it's been great so far.

Connected careers mode, the online one, is completely 100% broken on all difficulty settings. It's related to the new play calling schemes. So, the CPU will run the ball 95% of the time in almost every "normal" situation. They only pass once they're down by 21+ and even then, it's just passin like 40% of the time on bad down and distance.
Just for fun, play an online CCM game against the CPU and keep it close -- kick field goals instead of scoring TDs. They will run the ball 40 times and because running is so broken in online CCM, they'll run like 40 times for -20 yards. It happened to me against Denver, I kept the game close and won 3 - 0. Peyton manning threw 3 passes all game, completed just 1 pass, while Knoshawn Moreno ran like 35 times for -35 yards. On their final drive, down 3 - 0 with 2:00 left and the whole field to navigate, they ran twice, lost 40 seconds on the clock on both downs, and then threw a short incomplete pass... Never got past their own 15. It was... unreal.

Just saw this now. I don't know. Trasher and I didn't discuss anything after the game disconnected.
I was up 19-14. Had the ball and was driving down the field when the 3rd quarter ended. That's when the game disconnected.
It is. But playing as Ezio and wrapping him up is worth it
Edit: I played a few hours of 3. The early twist is GREAT, but everything right after that was just ughhhhh. Haven't touched it since

You forgot watch screens, mostly to the strongside, or the side the HB lines up on.
In theory, people should be able to stop the Read Option using Scrapes.

- Nickel wide 9 or Nickel Normal spread DE
- Always reblitz the DE on the HB side down or crash line in the direction the hand-off goes (i.e. if HB is left of QB, crash right)
- User the scrape LB needs to be a free runner and play the QB at the snap.
- In Madden land you'll probably need a DT to soak up a double team otherwise your scrape will just get vacuumed up
Sorry to hear about that, especially around this time of the year. Only advice I can give you is to get some vapor rub and drink plenty of sprite. Hope you start feeling better soon.

I ate Del Taco 2 days before my 21st birthday. Woke up the next morning with diarrhea and barfing blood. Ended up with the "Stomach Flu" for probably a good 4-5 days, ruining my whole birthday weekend. Also Donovan was traded to the Redskins on my birthday.

Welp.game d/c'd late. I was up ten 230 left, he had 3rd and 10 own 6, 2 tos left. Looks like he fell offline.
My router just needed to be rebooted it seems, was freaking out. Do you have time to go again? We can replay and I'll kind of let you get ahead and prolly let you win or something unless it's a similar scenario at the end, or you can play the cpu later I guess. I'd like to play tho.
My user-D was so bad that game, you completely deserved the win, but it was only 3rd and 10 because it started lagging pretty bad before that d/c and reading the secondary was impossible.
We can replay if you'd like, no need to spot points. I'll just be super pissed when I inevitably lose after a FG miss returned for a TD got wiped out

Gameflow told me to kick that 57 yarder, had 7 mph wind at my back and thought what the hell last game of the year, and I hit a full bar. And then I was amazed at how slow Bironas was as I lost contain. I'm hungry & heating up a few slices of pizza, gimme 5.
Remember, the direction the wind appears to be blowing online is backwards in CCM, so kicking a FG with a tailwind isn't in fact that.

How could I remember if I never knew in the first place! This explains Bironas' awful season..
Seriously the most egregious "always on" bug I think I've ever seen since it has to be insanely easy to fix.
