I clearly didn't want stat padding, FMT has had a change of heart! Who would've thought?
The logical extrapolation of FMT's new rule is "Don't run up the score against the CPU or you could lose your CPU-playing privs and just get simmed instead."
You pick the weirdest times to complain Rors. It took you years to make a single post about Crow and he's in your division.
What would you have FMT or to a lesser degree, me do?

no, whats not fair is that there should be rules at all. he keeps causing shit with this stuff. he knows it causes issues with the stats when you run shit up on the CPU. my entire basis for not having "suspended player" punishment for running the score up is people complained that crow got punished for admitting to stat padding but ramirez didn't admit to anything and didn't get punished even though it was proven he did it through the stats.
why is it that everyone else who plays the cpu, EVEN THOUGH there isn't a suspended player rule in place, has no issue not running up the score or padding stats. it's like ramirez can't help himself, so i'm going to help him. this is purely so he can get stats and get his yearly XP goals, nothing more.
Because the majority of people have some modicum of respect for people in the league.

Blocking him from this season's goals xp would be fair, but not banning him from ever playing someone on auto. Not after your "have at it" statement. It's good that you want to prevent this, and I can see that he's pushed the issue, but it's still not strictly fair.

then that is between me and ramirez. never had an issue with anyone else running up the score or pulling shit like this MULTIPLE times. it's like me saying there are no 4th down rules (which technically there aren't) but at the sametime this is a sim league and i would not stand for someone going for it on 4th down every time all game.
ramirez has shown no regard for any rules that were in place previously either. i specifically said i wouldn't be suspending players, and i'm not. but again, this is a sim league and what he has done repeatedly against the CPU is ridiculous. so if i'm being unfair in this instance then i'm being unfair but honestly i've had enough of that and i see no other way to prevent ramirez from abusing the CPU to gain a competitive advantage by building up his XP other than preventing him from not being able to play the CPU

people have no control over the CPU throwing or who they throw at, just like people have no control if they cheat during the draft and use a draft guide. so no
I'd love to have consistent, actionable rules where breaking them with some level of consistency made it so that you had to play for your team next year. The thing people love the most (other than the lulz in the thread) is playing with their team. And that's where it'd hurt the most to punish people.
The ultimate - and thought-of-too-late - punishment for DCXGate woud've been to strip him of the Falcons for Madden 13.
But Frenchie is right, that some people just can't restrain themselves makes it a problem. Here's a fun fact: If you have a play that works almost every time you use it, it's probably broken.
And I'm sure that some of these dumb situations arise because Dude X thinks that "Gun Bunch Verticals is really hard to stop because of the double wheels, and that only if the guy you're playing against shades his secondary over to the bunch side or the man defense doesn't get confused, or run into each other at the snap does it get stopped at all.
So I'll just run Gun Bunch Verticals when I really need it."
And then against the CPU it's just "lemme run Gun Bunch verticals over and over and over and get those stats, these numbers are so good ahhhhhhhh---"

This is like if the ref called false start and then decided he wasn't going to move the ball back 5 yards. This time it's just gonna be a loss of down.
Why don't we go back to subs? We'd have to testt it out, but I think the injury wipe bug is gone now from changing coaches. If someone can't play, then boot the user, the coach will remain. Set up a general use gamertag for anyone to use in a sub situation. They play the game, boot that temp GT again, reinvite the real owner, he should be able to step back in.

is it gone? if it is then i have no problem with this. never said he couldn't play a sub, just not the CPU. i never saw a note that EA fixed that owner change/injury reset issue though

I handled and adjusted to Crow's cheese every year because that's what you guys needed me to do. I had to sit there and take Ando's bullshit for years too until he cheesed everyone else, including the commish, and got the boot. I'm going to have to continue to deal with it until my Madden career ends. I'm pretty sure you guys give me those guys on purpose. I've found the way to beat all of his current cheese through our last game, but I can't fight the stick whiffing because there's no cure for that.

Disclaimer: I don't actually remember how that went down. I just remember complaining about him to FMT and it being chalked up to sour grapes until he cheesed someone else. Maybe FMT.

It was sour grapes every time it was mentioned. It was sour grapes every time someone called him out. I first called him out for the Walker bullshit, but it was sour grapes. It'll always be sour grapes. That's why I don't call people out for shit. That's why everyone waits until someone else speaks up to come out the woodwork. Even the people that agree, and know it's true, will not waste the opportunity to call someone out for sour grapes/being a bitch.
[edit]I remember when Bog played like a re-re in our first game. He was my first game and he just played like a complete idiot. It was sour grapes even though I won by like 60. He would eventually be the first and only guy to be banned from all GAF sports leagues.
