no, the game sets aside the pool automatically for you (you can see it in on your salaries page along with your cap space)

Rookie cap is accounted for. It won't let you put a bid in if you're dipping into the rookie fund.

I think high 80s is in the A threshold. You don't see too many 85 and below guys anymore. I haven't scouted any QBs, though.

yeah but if you define the actual number an "A" grade is a wide range. i've seen guys who have an "A" be an 87 throwing power, and then i've seen guys with an "A" grade be a 95 throwing power

Good and bad things about the process I guess. Wish they gave you letters but with a narrow range, but then you wouldn't spend points to reveal the final number.

i wasted a bit on WR's but i was just looking for a punt returner. i spent a bunch between WR's, RB's and CB's just trying to discover a decent "Kick Return" rating.... and i finally did with a 7th round graded guy!

i found a few "gems" at other positions. but i'm sure if i found them then other people have too!

Yeah, I'm not sure it's wise even if you can save that kind of XP in a single season.

You'll get 64k scouting points, so I guess you can knock out about 8-9 positions and that's letters only.

Probably wiser to spend the XP elsewhere.
