Surely you Mets fans didn't believe you could score 5 runs in the 9th? If Timlin got in too much trouble you would've seen THE REAPER, regardless of how many pitches he threw yesterday.

Hey I've seen the Mets score 8 runs on the Braves in the 9th,all with two outs so never say never.:lol

Yeah I know. But how soon we forget the Braves were once great. Still a great feat to pull off 8 runs, all with two outs.:lol

Anyways tomorrow is a new day,we start over fresh. Boston takes game one, hopefully we play better ball tomorrow.

Mifune said:
I think that was in the 8th.

I'll take your word for it since I don't remember much of that game anymore. Just that the Braves were walking people at will giving the Mets second chances inbetween clutch hits. :lol

Its one time I wish I had the game recorded.

Towers back down to triple A. Thats what he gets for sucking. Taubenheim takes his spot, so an automatic loss every 5 days now will be a probable loss.

Yeah, Braves were up 8-0 in the 8th. Mets scored 8 to tie, and Piazza won it in the ninth with a three-run bomb.

Good memory man. I knew Piazza did damage by hitting a crutual homer, just forgot when. Man I cannot believe I forgot this stuff.

Ha, I remember that game. It happened on my birthday back in 2000.

What a shit loss Mets had peantly of chances to knock Lester around. I was extremly pissed off when the Mets couldn't score in the 5th. Luckly Reyes was okay, you should of saw Omar face when Reyes got hurt. Soler pitched like shit tonight. I don't care what anybody says Mets really need another soild starter, I don't have confidence in Trash, The Duke, and Soler. Pedro get the job done tommrow.

Oh god the Cubs are so bad. They go into the top of the 9th leading, and this is what happens:

Top 9th: Milwaukee
- M. Murton in left field
- R. Dempster relieved C. Zambrano
- C. Koskie singled to third
- D. Miller walked, C. Koskie to second
- G. Gross reached on fielder's choice, C. Koskie to third, D. Miller to second, C. Koskie scored, D. Miller to third, G. Gross to second on pitcher R. Dempster's throwing error
- C. Hart hit for B. Shouse
- C. Hart safe at first on shortstop R. Cedeno's fielding error, D. Miller scored, G. Gross to third

- R. Weeks hit sacrifice fly to right center, G. Gross scored
- C. Hart stole second
- B. Hall singled to left, C. Hart to third
- S. Eyre relieved R. Dempster
- G. Jenkins hit sacrifice fly to left, C. Hart scored, B. Hall to second
- B. Howry relieved S. Eyre
- C. Lee grounded out to shortstop

Final: Milwaukee 8, Chi Cubs 5

Holy shit Jon Lester is a ****ing stud. BALLS.

Oh, and thanks for not bringing in Tavarez, Francona. Seriously though, quit trying to Dusty Baker the kids.

Lester got extremly lucky, it's the Mets fault when they forget to score runs with the bases loaded and only one out. Lastings also gave you two runs.

Give Lester credit for being a young stud. That pitch he threw to Wright for strike 3 was nasty. You probably do have to be a bit lucky to get out of two bases loaded jams in a row, but Lester wasn't exactly throwing slop up there despite not having good control. He made some nasty pitches when he needed them the most.

Lastings gave us two runs. We won by five.

Maybe but you have to admit Mets could of really blown the game wide open too, but they failed to.

Ok so I'm goin to the Jays game on Sunday

Any idea who will be pitching that day?

I know Taubenheim is pitching Saturday

Does that mean AJ will pitch Sunday? (crosses fingers)

Yep.

The order of the rotation as it stands now:

Burnett
Lilly
Halladay
Janssen
Taubenheim

Bah, Ricciardi is looking to acquire either Armas, Hernandez or Ortiz. Damnit, can't you do better Ricciardi.

which hernandez, and which ortiz? armas is on the DL but would be a serviceable 4th/5th starter.. as long as we don't have to give up much, i wouldn't mind that.

Livan Hernandez and Ramon Ortiz. I really don't have the faith that any of them can pitch in the AL East successfully.

since arod refuses to step up and start producing when they need him most, the yankees are almost forced to make a trade. everyone say thank you to arod.

THANKSSSS ARODDDDDDD

the yankees are relying on giambi and arod to drive in runs right now and arod just isnt doing his part. they need another bat. also the bench sucks. the yankees bench right now consists of bubba crosby, kelly stinnet, and kevin reese.

someone needs to put ARod, Peyton Manning and Dirk Nowitzki on a monument alongside Patrick Ewing. Mount Suckmore.
I WILL FIND YOU AND KILL YOU FOR BLASPHEMY AGAINST PATRICK EWING. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

That's it. Mets clique, I've done a little Photoshopped image to christen our foothold into dominance and to proclaim our power but when should I unveil it?

a) After Pedro beats Boston tomorrow.
b) After Mets win 2/3 from Boston.
c) After Mets win series against Yanks.

Democracy so vote here...

btw this is who Joe Mauer is currently dating:

What an asshole. I hope he breaks his knees and gets cancer.

Odalis Perez gets a start finally again aaaannnnddddd....

- J. Mauer singled to right
- M. Cuddyer singled to center, J. Mauer to second
- J. Morneau singled to second, J. Mauer to third, M. Cuddyer to second
- T. Hunter homered to deep left, M. Cuddyer, J. Morneau and J. Mauer scored
- M. Redmond singled to right

Time to jump out the window.

Dodgers should have stayed at home and forfeited all three games to saves themselves from being completely embarassed. JESUS!

F-ing Stros are just sad.

dont hate on the giambino.

and :lol @ "PLEASE DONT GO. DONT GO AWAYYYY" when bobby cox took out ray.

I would ask the Yankee fans why Melky Cabrera is batting second, but I'm pretty sure they'd respond with "Joe Torre is a moron."
i guess you didnt see when torre had cairo 2nd. anyone is better than cairo. i'd try phillips 2nd but i really like having a lefty 2nd (when a righty is pitching) because it blocks the catcher a little bit and makes it easier for damon to steal and jeter is more useful at 3rd right now.

Eh, I'd put Jeter in the second spot again, Juicin' Giambi in the third spot, Slappy in the fourth spot, Dumbo in the fifth spot, and then all the automatic outs in whatever order for the rest of the lineup. Having duds like Cairo and Cabrera batting second certainly doesn't give your 3 and 4 hitters better chances for RBI. It's not like your lineup has been an offensive juggernaut recently anyways.

There we go.

yeah i hear that. joe LOVES to switch guys in the lineup though and see how they react. like yogi says, "how do you know he cant play if you dont play him?". he had the HR last night so joe threw him in the 2 spot and see if it sticks.

Cox had Giles steal on 2-0 count with 1 out. WTF is he thinking?

They're 16 games out and in the midst of the worst month in Atlanta Brave history........he's playing for broke and trying to get some things to happen. I probably would have done the same thing.

Fruitbat was losing it, and they let him off the hook with that boneheaded play. When a guy is visibly struggling you do not give him outs on the basepaths.

You know the Yankees' offense is struggling when they can't even get runs against the Braves pen. Yeesh.

They weren't facing Chris Reitsma........what are the chances of getting two straight hits off Rivera?
