I hate the Sox announcers. Not radio, that's good stuff.

Tell me about it. Singleton and Farmer are funny as hell. They talk about the most random shit and make obscure references while still calling the game. Hawk makes me want to kill myself.

Obviously it's time to resign

That Sox/Sawx game yesterday was just ridiculous. I had to go to work, and I turned on the radio like 2 hours after I left to try and catch the score and the game was still on.

Only 2 back of Detroit now.

Astros go it going on.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Astros on Saturday became the first team in the majors this season to lose a game they led by at least two runs with two out and none on in the ninth.

Francisco Liriano is going to the All-Star Game after all.

The Twins' rookie left-hander, who was beat out by White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski for the final AL All-Star spot in Internet voting Thursday, got the nod to replace Chicago right-hander Jose Contreras on Monday.

Contreras pitched against the Red Sox on Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out six in six innings of the White Sox's 6-5, 19-inning win. On the season, the right-hander is 9-0 with a 3.38 ERA.

In 22 games this season, Liriano is 10-1 with 102 strikeouts and leads the majors with a 1.83 ERA.

Awesome. He sure as hell deserved it.

Liriano currently has 15 consecutive shut out innings.

Here's some weird stats:

Liriano has 88.1 IP, 102Ks (1.15 Ks per inning), 18 earned runs, but 23 BBs.

Brandon Webb: 139.1 IP, 103 Ks, 41 ER, 21 BBs.

Johan Santana: 131 IP, 138Ks, 43 ERs, 24 BBs.

WTF this dude is a freak of nature, but apparently has problems walking players. His K number is ridiculous.

Edit:

What kind of idiot votes for Pierzynski over Liriano anyway?

I kid 'cause I love. :D

Well, we reached the All-Star Break with a 12 game lead, which is pretty good, though I was hoping for 15.

Liriano is sick. The only reason he won't win a Cy Young is because he's a rookie and they generally don't give those out to rookies. He's a lock for ROY though.

SHIT! The extra innings allowed Pujols to get a triple and calder took the win from me in the fantasy league... NOOOOOO!

It's either him or Roy Halladay at this point, and either way I can take it. As good as Contreras has been this season, that nonsense streak is only alive because he's been bailed out multiple times by his team and he simply hasn't been as dominating as the other two. Sorry Em!

Yeah, but if he ends up finishing the year with his streak still in tact, he'll most likely win. See Carpenter winning last year purely because of his win total.

I'd love to see Ortiz win it, and I'm sure he's the favorite, but I'm not sure of his chances. I'm thinking Tejada, again.

Damn Lance :( Hes got to be tired from that wacky Cards series.

Oh well atleast he hit one bomb.

:lol OZZIE GUILLEN PICKED KENNY ROGERS TO START THE ALL STAR GAME

repeat

OZZIE GUILLEN picked KENNY ROGERS

Excellent choice by Troy Glaus to save his home runs for the second half of the season. He's not pulling an Abreu, no sir.

Who else would he pick? Contreras and Halladay just pitched.

It's one inning and it's on a lot of pitchers' throw days anyway.

I'd rather he just have Buerhle pitch. At least then I could understand it.
