Bags gave the whole team roids during their visit to San Diego.

The best part about this Sox/Rays game is that apparently FSN has a Random Drunk Fan mic'd up, so you hear him yelling at the ump each time.:D

That idiot heckler is at EVERY D-Rays game.

Oh Javy, that was awful. You just blew your first chance to become a TRUE RED SOX.

The Force is strong with Luke Scott.

edit - 6 runs for Roger :o

Nice first game by Javy... ouch. :lol

It was his second... and it stunk even more than the first.

Ken Huckaby has more hits this season as a catcher for the Red Sox than Javy Lopez.

Oh, and Francona is a goddamn moron for hitting Lopez ahead of Wily Mo Pena.

Well, I just got home, but this post is absolutely hilarious in hindsight.

15 GAMES BEHIND.

*reads Angelus' and Link's posts*

You know, I somehow have a funny feeling that even though I've been off the board for 2 days and haven't said a word, I'll still be jumped on by Yankees, Braves, Red Sox, White Sox, and quite possibly Blue Jays and Cubs fans. Am I being paranoid or is there something to this??

Ignore them. Some of the haters have enough problems accepting that the Amazins aren't living up to their DOOMED predictions for the 2006 season, theyre just lashing out now more than ever. And you being the biggest outspoken Mets fan here, your an easy target.

I dunno about Link but I'm more the conservative fan. Don't really talk the smack before hand, but I'll definitely remind the haters about the great season the Mets are having, and how awful the Braves are this year.:)

A week in the life of Fausto Carbomb-a

July 30 - With the Indians leading 3-1 going into the 9th, Carbomb gives up 4 runs in the inning and the Indians proceed to lose to the Mariners 5-3.

July 31 - With an 8-6 lead in the 9th, Carbomb serves up a 3 run homer to Ortiz to give the Red Sox a 9-8 victory/

August 2 - With a 5-4 lead, Carbomb gets the first 2 outs of the inning before hitting 2 batters, walking one, and serving up a game winning 2run double to give the Red Sox a 6-5 victory.

August 5th - After watching two other Indians relievers give it up the night before, Carbomb enters with a 3-2 lead in the 9th. After giving up a bunt single, he gets a strikeout and a groundball forceout for 2 outs. Then, serves up a first pitch fastball to Pudge who hits it out for a 4-3 Tigers win.

Just like the Braves were a product of a very bad NL for 14 straight years?

:lol

Nice try......the Braves won 100 games 6 times in that span........95 games 10 times.

At this time there are only 3 teams other than the Mets above .500. Truly a sign of the weakness of this year's NL. Surely, if the Mets are such a great team, then they would have no problem winning 100 games with such terrible competition right?

In order to win 100 games they have to win 35 out of their last 53 games. I'm willing to bet a Mets avatar during the playoffs that doesn't happen. Wanna play?

The Mets will win 100 games 6 times in the next 14 years that they dominate this division. I will put an avatar bet on that.

:lol

BREAKING NEWS:

I am speaking to The Frankman on the phone right now.

He says, and I quote:

"IF THE BRAVES MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AND BEAT THE METS, I WILL NEVER POST ON GAF EVER AGAIN."

He has placed his account on the line. GOGOGO!
The team, the time, The Frankman . . .

Any Detroit fans on board? Such a shame they're having a stellar season yet I haven't seen any inflated egos from the northern corner of this country.

Im rooting for them if the Yank season goes to shit this year. I mean, its the ****in Tigers :lol . They deserve a W.

Yeah, way to go out on a line there Frankie..... :)

In other news, the Braves have had the bases loaded three games in a row with one or no outs and failed to score. They are now 2-26 in the series against the Reds with RISP.

Dodgers have the bases loaded for a second time.. hopefully we can get at least a run and close within 1. :\

Lol, Dodgers got away with one there.. beautiful pitch, shoulda been strike 3, but instead that walked in a run. Nice, another run walked in... tie game, and the bases are still loaded. :D Come on Andre.. grand slam!

Wow we got lucky. That pitch was an inside strike.

tomatoe with the walk and tie

Betemit with the big piece of hitting there.. wish they'd had Martin pinch hit for Hall here. :\ Or not! Hall with the 2-run double -- love it! :lol

Whoa, it's only 40 bucks for a full season of MLB.tv?! Damn, I might get it next year at that price.

40 bucks for the rest of the season.. not a full one. cheaper to buy monthly
