Calder, I'm watching Prison break....Did this really happen?

"Lilly gave up 5 runs in the 3rd and left 2 runners on, and Gibbons came out to pull him. Ted wouldn't give up the ball, he started yelling at him up right close in his face, and then walked off the field into the clubhouse. Gibbons went after him after he gave the ball to Frasor, and went down into the clubhouse. Suddenly you see all the trainers and players running in there to stop something. It's the Shea Hillenbrand scenario all over again."

I'm sure it'll be on the highlights but that's just too crazy. How can we be winning 8-0 one moment and then falling apart the next?

Yeah pretty much. Lilly had a meltdown, A's were stroking his pitches all over the damn place, Gibbons goes out and Lilly has a serious pouty constipated face going on, give him some lip, they mutter at each other, Lilly had his hand in Gibbons chest weird when Gibby went to physically TAKE the ball from him as if he was about to push him or something. When Lilly hit the bench he turned back and had a few comments for Gibby then strode off into the tunnel. Gibbons didn't hurry after him but kept walking normally right behind him, a 5 second pause as someone (i think Marcum) was kinda eavesdropping and the trainer was peeking, then they both jump up and run in. MADNESS.

Watching Prison Break? Didn't I tell you to fix this shit you caused with your "man this game is nice to see!" post? I'm sure I did. :|

what a f-ing joke :lol

LOL at Molinas expression he is probably wondering what kind of crazy shit is this.

Apparently Gibbons shoved Lilly, and then someone may or may not have thrown a punch.

Cameramen near the dugout saw Gibbons push Lilly first. A television camera later showed Gibbons with a bloody nose.

Canadian Press photographer Aaron Harris, one of a handful of photographers to witness the skirmish, said Lilly was waiting for Gibbons in the tunnel.

"Gibbons just went at him," Harris said.

Harris said they went nose to nose.

"It looked like Gibbons grabbed him and they disappeared," Harris said. "Then the whole dugout emptied back there. It was mayhem down in the tunnel."

Oh god what is it with Rowand and getting hurt. He looked really, really, really bad on his way back to the dugout. He had to be carried by two teammates and couldn't go down the two dugout steps by himself

I feel bad, but with each teams' misfortune, the Dodgers are one step closer to the World Series.

YAY! Dodgers making a Triple-A Call Up look like a Cy Young winner. =\...
I couldnt' agree more. WTF is with thsi dry spell.

It's like they forget how they were playing the series before the one with the Padres. They are taking no pitches and just hacking at everything. No wonder they have clobbered the Dodgers so far this year.

Well, the Jays may suck but atleast their entertaining.

I can't say the same for my 'Stros. We need to Baggy to come in and suckerpunch Biggio for some drama!

Whats wrong with Furcal?

I saw the Killer Tomato talking to him about his swing. =\

Damn Billingsley not looking to sharp tonight, Hope he can wiggle his way out. Damn it, why does he always do this, he gets himself in trouble trying to make the perfect pitch.

I find it sick people cry over Rowand yet LOL all over Glavine. Bums.

I cry over Rowand because he was my favorite player on the team that won the first World Series for the White Sox in 88 years. I'm always gonna have a special place for him.

edit: :lol :lol Nice block, Barfield

WOW wtf was that, not only was the batter interfering but the Ump was also blocking the plate. :lol

WTF kind of shit was that DREW!

Before Gibbons' inevitable firing, they should acquire Julian Tavarez from Boston in a waiver deal-- just so we can see one of the great fights in MLB history.

What the hell! 1st and 2nd with 1 Out and Little lets Betemit who is hitting .059 against left handers go up and waste an at bat. :scratches noodle

Meredith has pitched something like 18 straight scoreless innings.

I'm so glad we traded him along with Bard for Tim Wakefield's caddy. A caddy who is batting below the Mendoza line. We only need one guy in the pen capable of getting outs. Having two would just be a surplus of arms.

LONG TERM PLAN

After Hillenbrand, I gave Gibbons the benefit of the doubt. He's clearly a passionate guy, but having one player hate your f'ing guts and feuding with them publicly is understandable. It's never a good sign when a skipper can't lead well enough to keep that shit behind closed doors, but it happens. But after tonight.... I'd be surprised to see Gibbons back next year. Can Ricciardi *not* get rid of Gibbons this year and keep the respect of the team?

As for the loss, you could totally see it happening in the third so it was no surpise at all, I just assumed they were going to lose when it was 8-6. I'm sure League was too shit scared of being molested by his manager if he messed up, he gets a free pass for this one blown save. ;)

Dodgers are going to Rally! I can feel it!

Denied! =\ That spot in the 7th with 2 on 1 out was the Dodgers best chance and Little didn't put the Killer Tomato in to pinch hit.

With Big Lurch going tommorow against Peavy, Dodgers only hope to avoid the sweep will be Weds with Penny.

Well, look on the bright side. At least the Diamondbacks look like they're going to lose to the Giants, so at least it's only the Padres who'll move up to within 3 games back of the Dodgers, assuming they win :-)

2 more outs and the fat lady sings for the Dodgers.... Still some hope left. It'd be nice if Kent would hit a HR to tie things up... *dreaming* Or Kent could hit into a double play, ending the game *REALITY SUCKS!!*
