Poor Taylor, fucking awful D and Lidge cost him a W and more importantly a stros win.

Walking in the winning run...priceless.

This pen sucks ass.

Woo, that was a fucking great game. Keith Hernandez was losing it in the booth. He was making fun of old guys and saying his scorecard looked like an acid trip. :lol

With Bonds in left field, fans in the bleachers behind him chanted "Just retire" and "Just inject me." A long banner in left field read: "Ruth did it on hot dogs and beer." Many carried signs that had simple asterisks on them.

One guy wore a fat suit that was supposed to represent Bonds with the Giants, while his skinny friend was the pre-pumped Bonds with the Pirates.

Alex Bues, a college student in Philadelphia originally from Connecticut, wasn't allowed to bring in a sign that read: "Got Roids?" However, someone else had a sign that said: "Got Juice?"

Bues wore a white T-shirt in which he wrote in orange and black marker, "Giant Cheater" on the front and "Disgrace" on the back above the No. 25.

WOOOOOO! NOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH with the squib single for the win! Nice to see a catcher that can actually hit, glad to have Russel Martin in the bigs. Bullpen still blows but atleast they didnt put us in a hole, sucks for Lowe that he loses out on another win though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

That Braves/Mets game has got to be one of the best I've ever seen,it brought back memories of their late 90's rivalry. This game was so back and forth it was fucking insane. Both sides pitching and hitting their hearts out, both left everything on the field tonight. I really thought it was over after Wagner blew it,there is seriously something wrong with this guy mentaly, like he just does not have it with pitching in the big apple, fucking scary right now, hopefully he can get past this mental hurdle otherwise its going to haunt our asses as the season keeps going.

Floyd I can kiss that guy. I really thought it was over when the Braves scored on Wagner. I mean you can only rally so many times and when your top gun closer gives up a zinger he deflates your team. But Floyd..man I was happy to see him bust out tonight. Two crutial situations late in the game and he came through both times. If that isn't a confidence booster then I dunno what is.

And finally Wright. This kid is the heart and soul of the team. Best hitter they have had since Straw. Where would the Mets be without this kid? It's only fitting that the nucleus of this club should end it like he did.

Hopefully the rest of the games this weekend are close to entertaining like this one was tonight.

They better be careful mobbing Nomah like that. You don't wanna send that guy back to the DL.

I think Billy's fine mentally. It's his finger I'm worried about.

Could be,I forgot about his finger. The thing is the media in New York will be on his ass now, which could mess with his head abit. The best thing now would be for him to come in for the rest of the two games this weekend and shut them down solid. I love the guy and his wicked stuff but man I really hope he doesn't develope some mental block in huge games.
Benite and Loopre were bad enough. :lol

I'm gonna drop it though and hope for the best. No reason to complain when we keep winning the games.:)

Son of a.....

I need to find a way to watch this game. Is it wrong to seriously consider signing up for MLB.TV for one game?

I gotta admit, after the long line of anti-clutch closers, seeing Wagner struggle is not very fun. I agree that Randolph has to put him whenever he can to try to boost his confidence.

It was only one game, but watching it you had to feel that maybe this rivalry is finally turning around. That, and the fact that the Mets actually took a series in Atlanta.

I'm kicking myself for not recording the game, seriously it was that good. I would have loved this game even if they had lost to the Braves because you saw how badly both teams wanted to win, there was nothing left to give after it was all over, they put on one hell of a show for baseball fans tonight-amazing finish. I mean I don't think I've ever seen a manager warm up a fucking starter for an extra inning game, not in a regular season game, that is just how great both teams were gutting it out tonight. I dunno about MLBtv dude-sorry. If that were the only way I could watch games then I would go for it,even if its not perfect. I've got satelite,I bought a dish in 1997 just to see the Mets because I gotsick of being able to view them onlyon TBS every year. And like someonesaid earlier-love him or hate him-Keith Hermamdez in the booth is worth the price of admission,. The guy not only knows basebnall but he can entertain you all night long with his wild beer stories. Tonight he was all over the place with the rally cap,you never know what youre going to get from that guy. Certainly much better than Mr. "Frozen Rope,a.k.a. Can of Corn" Fran Healy.:lol

Grab a dish if you can. Its worth it for MLB Extra Innings. If not then go for MLBTV,I would if that were the only other way to get my baseball fix.

Yeah its a nice rivalry again. Now its like you don't have to dread the games against the Braves. Youre going to watch two teams play their hearts out because they want to beat the other badly. The Mets have the weapons now,the detremination is there, they won't roll over like past Mets taams did against theBraves. The Floyd homer tonight prooved this.

I only wish Mike Piazza were still on the team, the poor guy is on a bad Padres team while the Mets are haing a great year. Its seriously hurts to see this. This guy did so much for us years back-he put the Mets back on the map and brought so much hope and pride back into the organization in the late 90's,now he has to suffer while the Mets are now playing great ball in his absense? Its just sad to see this go down. I'd love it if we got him back in a mid season trade, just to give him a shot at the big one again, and atleast go out with some excitement.

This Braves/Mets game is amazing.

Hudson sucks, everyone. He's not as good as Jorge Julio! That puts him at about the skill level of Danny Graves.

Not much to cheer for as a Braves fan these days...

...but at least Rent-a-rear still has his hitting streak!

Watch out Triumph!

I dont hate the fact the Braves are losing, but I hate the fact it's to the Mets.

I have horrible mixed feelings about this.

Zambrano ran off the mound before Mets fans had a chance to boo him mercilessly. The whole crowd was probably paralyzed in disbelief as he ran into the clubhouse.

Julio > Wagner. :lol

And I was going to come in here just to say it was LIMA TIME!
