Actually I spoke to him, it's cool. We won one yesterday, gave it away today. Yes, Wagner completely melted down. Didn't help that Larry Young strike zone mysteriously shrunk but Wags lost it. Willie should've yanked him after the back-to-back walk. Rivera came in and did the job. Rubber game tomorrow.

See, real New York sports fans have no problems talking the talk and walking the walk. We always own up at the end, apparently you fail to see that. Whatever bias you have against me (dude you're killing me for posting pics of Japanese anime that relate to nicknames to players??? What a kook!) leave it to sports. I came here TO take it like a man. What I don't take is personal shots from people who hide behind a monitor. Everything I post is something I'd say to a person's face (ask Captmcblack about THAT one). I post on three different sports boards, don't tell me about being around.

If you don't follow that philosophy, then at least I'll know in advance. And if that's the case PRAY TO THE DEPTHS OF YOUR SOUL that the Yanks win tomorrow, or it's going to be like DX up in here. Forget the old nice The Frankman.

Yep. If the Cubs plan was to sign a bunch of assholes to become a "winning" team, they've accomplished that minus the "winning". And personally, if they're not going to win, I at least want us to have a likeable team and entertaining booth. But nope, the assholes got Steve Stone fired, and have taken over. I'm ashamed of being a Cubs fan right now.

Where's the character guys anymore? At least in 2003 you had Auggie Ojeda, Randall Simon, Mark Grudzielanek, Eric Karros, Lofton.. Not exactly top notch talent but their attitude was a boost. These days I truly only like about 4-5 guys on the entire roster and 1 is on the DL.

I see you missed the point that I post like I'm talking man-to-man. You also missed the fact the Mets have a .600 record and are in first. Therefore, you fail.

NO. And notice we're in first with a .600 record with our starting pitching in tatters. Theorectically we could play .500 baseball the rest of the way and still make the playoffs. What's your point? Do your have one?

A bunch of dirty Yankee fans. I dominate Solrac year in and year out in fantasy baseball(ask him he'll tell you) and I used to own you at Kohan. Therefore it has been scientifically proven that we Jays fans are superior to Yankee fans. I'm sure BigJonsson, Fifty, calder, and R_GILL will back me up on this.

God, Francona is one dumb bastard. Beckett is at 105 pitches, has 2 men on in the 8th, and has a 7 run lead.

So he leaves him in to give up a 3 run pop fly homerun to Ryan Howard. Great.
 
Woo, I said we should keep Willy Aybar up at the beginning of the year and he's proving why. Big 3-run shot today and the Dodgers with another victory. I love it! :D
 
Haven't been able to get on the forums lately...I can't believe that meltdown today. Wagner has blown at least 2 games for Pedro that I can remember vividly. The guy should be 7-0 by now. Randolph is a fucking idiot. When the camera cut to him after the back-to-back walk, and it just showed him there clapping at the top of the dugout, I wanted to throw a fucking Subway sandwich at his face. I can see trying to instill confidence in the guy, but Wagner obviously lost it after that battle with Cabrera. That was a damn good at-bat by Cabrera.

Sadly, so do I. I always watch Cubs games because
1) It's baseball
2) I love to root against them

But Brenly and Casper are awful. I didn't like Chip, but Stoney was, and still is, the best analyst in the game.
He knows everything about every player, and never sugarcoats anything. He's just a great person to have around during the game.

I wish he did the Sunday night games for ESPN instead of Joe "I have sex with Barry Bonds daily and am also senile and stupid" Morgan.

McCann got taken out on a clean play at the plate and bent his knee/ankle really awkwardly. I would compare it to the play where Vick broke his ankle in the preseason game a couple of years back. Although, it wasn't quite as grotesque. He couldn't put any weight on in at all.

After last night debacle, losing him for any extended period would be a HUGE loss.
