Damnit, why can't all the young pitchers we have be like Buchholz?

BE LIKE BUCHHOLZ YOU BASTARDS

Thankfully the offense showed up tonight.

Oswalt vs. Marquis and Carpenter vs. Petitte for two games at home starting tomorrow. That's going to be a fun short series.

I may be (although late) at the game on Thursday.

Have an interview at 6, will haul ass afterwards from 290 to downtown and hope to get there by the 2nd/3rd inning.

Yeah, the Mets are really struggling at the plate right now. On a positive note, not a terrible first start for Maine. Not his fault he didn't get any run support.

And I really think David Wright is playing hurt.

Yeah. Its like he seems to be slower in speed when going after sharply hit liners down the third base line. That groin problem is hampering his speed when he reacts to hits like that.
He's also 0-14 of late, very unWright like, something is up with him.
Btw-Cliff Floyd can't buy a hit, that line shot to Vidro today with two on must be killing him.
I wouldn't be against Floyd and Wright trading the 5th and 6th spot for a few games, maybe that can kick this stupid dry spell both are in.

MWAHAHA.

Lidge!
too bad Calder gets to leech one more save off of him...but he's mine now! :)
I'm happy with a non-flaky Street instead of Lidge thanks. :D I'm more relaxed with Street's fairly minor looking injury than a whole year of wondering if Lidge is going to get all Pujoled again and start closing like Dan Kolb for weeks at a time. I'm more nervous about Berkman for Abreau not working out in my favour.

BTW, assuming you want yet more Astros check yahoo, new offer for you!

YOUR WASHINGTON NATIONALS FINALLY HAVE AN OWNER!

Ted Lerner & Co.... come on down! Taveres, say goodbye, and hello to your replacement -- Stan Kasten! And Mister Bowden, better get back your job at Cold Pizza, because you're done for!

Bernie Williams is in RF.

I guarantee I will be in here later talking about something stupid he did.

Hey Red Sox fans, it's our AAA lineup: Stinnett, Phillips, and Bernie! W00t w00t!

Confused? How on earth could you be confused? It's blindingly obvious that your Braves - to a man - are excited and enthused (you could say "aroused") by your avatar and that extra spunk has given them an extra spring in their step.

Clearly for the good for your team you have to keep the avatar all season.

Seriously do any of your home teams have a worse song then Tessie by the Dropkick Murphys? I'm interested if anyone else hates their ballfield's particular song of choice in commercials and at the park when the team wins.

Hello.

I'm looking for Josh Beckett's control. He seems to have lost it.

The REAL Red Sox theme song is "Dirty Water" by The Standells.

Who is this Roy Halladay impersonater they have on the mound? Why would the Jays bring out a guy dressed like him like this to fool the fans, this being taped for a new Candid Camera?

Seriously. Do they actually play that Tessie song after a win, now? I can't remember from the last time I went to a game..

Yes they do.

The last game i was at was the Wakefield loss to Tampa so I didnt hear it then but as far as i know it'll be played tonight if we continue to kill Halliday.

You were at that game? God damnit I would have killed for those tickets.

And they still use that shit song in commercials at least, although im glad they took it out of rotation at the park.

No, I wasn't at the game, but I heard it when I was watching the game on NESN.

Also, JARET WRIGHT IS THROWING A ONE-HIT SHUTOUT.

It's a day old but it's still funny.

The Mike Lowell era! I do enjoy it, surprisingly.

Y2Kev: How's the MLB.tv holding up? Still able to watch Yank games?

Yeah, thanks to somebody. :D I actually upgraded my flash player and it loads much quicker. It's all right. I dislike WMP...I'm on a Mac and it is subpar compared to the Windows version.

I generally split it with Yankees/Red Sox (one on TV and one on MLB.TV) or Astros when Andy pitches.

I loves me some Andy.

And that was Evil Foulke, I guess? I thought we had banished him to the realm of 2005.
