Frank Thomas comes back to Chicago tonight, and I'll be at the Cell. We better give him a standing O. None of that bullshit Cleveland fans pulled with Thome.
Wait, didn't Thomas rip the Sox? Or did he rip Ken Williams? Plus Ozzie tore into him. I'm not so sure about that standing O.

Let's keep this streak going Blue. That sweep must have been absolutely glorious for Dodgers fans living in LA. Show those fucks who the real team is. :D

Who are the Dodgers playing? I hope Jae Seo is pitching well, he was one of my favorite Mets last year. I loved the Asian cheering section he had at Shea last year. They had some banner about him being the "Lord of the Rings" :)

:lol :lol :lol On PTI Pierzynski called out Mariotti. "Here's an open invitation. Jay, anytime you wanna come in the clubhouse and say hello to my face, you're more than welcome. As far as I know, he's never been in our clubhouse once."

Yeah that was classic.

How does Mariotti even leave his house without getting his ass kicked? It seems like he's made a career out of writing nothing but negative pieces on Chicago sports teams and players.

See if that BLOWS YOUR MIND.

Joe Jackson played with Steve O'Neill for the 1911 Cleveland Naps

Steve O'Neill played with Leo Durocher for the 1925 New York Yankees

Leo Durocher played with Gil Hodges for the 1943 Brooklyn Dodgers

Gil Hodges played with Ed Kranepool for the 1962 New York Mets

Ed Kranepool played with Jesse Orosco for the 1979 New York Mets

Jesse Orosco played with Derek Jeter for the 2003 New York Yankees

I was listening to the radio, and briefly they mentioned the guy that caught Barry's ball and estimates on how much he'll get. 150-200k they said, and that it was tainted. But I was wondering, do you think the guy would be famous the rest of his life if he threw the ball back?

the yankees starting outfield tonight is bernie williams, terrence long, and melky cabrera...

this is why i dont own any guns.

:lol @ ball call for Thomas

:lol @ Thomas going yard first at bat

:lol @ Crosby going back-to-back

:lol @ Ozzy getting ejected

Inning to remember!

EDIT

:lol:lol:lol @ squirrel on the field...hahaha, best inning ever

The squirrel or Thomas? Doesn't matter, the answer is yes.

LaRussa is a piece of shit and IMO, responsible for making baseball so boring to the average sports fan today. Middle relief and other shit that extends the game too long. And I don't believe he's a supplier or anything, but all of his "great" hitters have big suspicions (some confirmed) of being roiders. Talk all you want about his winning % but he's an asshole and I'll be glad when he's out of MLB. I just wish his stuff like middle relief hadn't caught on and been adopted by everyone else.

Curt Schilling > Columbus Clippers

I take it all the Yankee fans switched over to 24? It was probably much more enjoyable for them.

And :lol @ A-Fraud padding his stats in garbage time.

Another example of A-Rod compiling numbers when it doesn't matter. It's such a mystery why this guy's sphincter tightens up in big games.

Holy shit, best game I've ever seen live.

Standing O for Big Frank. Frank homers, crowd still cheers him. Fucking hilarious squirrel delay. Bick Mack Mackowiak with a pinch hit homer to tie the game in the 8th. Bobby Jenks is plain filthy.

Best of all, a fucking walk-off suicide squeeze

Fucking great night.

"First-pitch changeup, I definitely didn't think he'd hit a homer," Street said. "I was just trying to get ahead, 0-1. He was coming off the bench, and I figured he'd be sitting on a fastball the first pitch."

Fucking owned. Big Mack :)

Random fact: I graduated from the same highschool as him. Lake Central Indians represent.

And my love for AJ continues to grow....after Ozuna got the walk-off bunt, the first person to meet him was, guess who, the runner he drove in, AJ.

Didn't get to see the game, but I did see that in the highlights. I freakin jizzed myself! :lol

And lay off A-Rod. Yeah it's well documented that he is one of the most unclutch players in the history of sports, but let's not forget how he single handedly won the divisional series for us in 2004.

After Mariano Rivera sat the Twins down in order in the 10th, A-Rod belted a double down the left-field line with one out, putting the go-ahead run at second with one out.

"I was just looking for a pitch that I wanted to get in the air," Rodriguez said. "I wanted to get my money's worth. The pitch was pretty good and I pulled it hard down the left-field line."

A-Rod stole third to move within 90 feet of home, then scored when Lohse uncorked a 2-2 wild pitch that got by catcher Pat Borders, allowing Rodriguez to slide in and give the Yankees a 6-5 lead.

"This game, we have to go get it. It was not going to come to us," Rodriguez said. "The game was kind of coming to a stalemate and with Mo out there you have to take advantage of that. I felt like, why not take a chance? The wild pitch was beautiful."

That series he went 8/19, scored 3 runs, 1 HR, 3 RBIs, 14 total bases, with a .421 average. But here it's a what have you done for me lately deal I guess!

hrmm since we have this Detroit winning trend in NHL, NBA, and MLB. Maybe, MAYBE the Lions can jump on this winning trend.

...doubt it though.

I used to be a Tigers fan when Fielder was on the team, but lost interest since. But it is cool that the Tigers are actually winning again. :)

I'm still pissed about last night. WE'RE TAKING YOU DOWN, CHISOX!

Dodgers are looking so good right now.. knock on wood.
Yes they are. Those two plays at the plate last night was amazing. Martin is the real deal. So is Broxton as our setup guy. Once Gagne gets back, he can only make us that much better. We're slowly showing who's the best in the NL West, which is the toughest division this year.

The Twins stink. Nobody cares what a player does against them.

I'm not saying it as a knock against A-Rod, I'm saying it in general. Nobody remembers you for what you did against scrub teams when you play for teams like New York and Boston. It's always about beating the big rival.

i understand that but he still did manage something against them. hey look, the guy went to a shrink to get his head out of his ass and managed to have a great year last year.

Frank Thomas never said "He wasn't going to leave Cleveland over money" and then leave for Philly for a few million more and one year longer on his contract. That's where the hate comes from. Thome lied to the fans.
