See ya later, Oakland!

Jenks looked flat out filthy.

RJ sucked, Clement sucked, Melky pwned, A-Rod lol, Manny being Manny, Ener the Sandman, Big Papi looking mighty small.

That about sums it up.

Melky + Cano + Wang = Steinbrenner is a moron. The Yankees' farm system is one of the best out there, they should have been taking advantage of this...

Also, my GAF OT Fantasy league pitching decided to tank completely. Benson, K-Rod, and Wakefield have all gotten smoked in the last 24 hours.

I can't believe Dan Kolb was not on the Braves list of biggest mistakes. A much bigger mistake than Rocker, who was a good closer until his batshit insanity became public knowledge.

Back from the game. I was so dissapointed not to get the sweep, I can't hate on the offense as everyone did well except for Wells who went 0 for 5. Towers sucked pretty bad, Downs syndrome was pretty good, Rosario was alright but struggled a little, Frasor sucked, Speier sucked, and Taubenheim was alright and probably could have gone for another inning but I think he will start a game in Chicago. Looks like Towers has pitched his last game for the Jays. I am pretty sure Taubenheim will take his spot. Our bullpen was pretty damn bad today, Schoenweiss should only pitch against leftys, I really dont know what is wrong with Frasor and Speier was lights out earlier this year but has struggled this week. And Hill is back, he is was 3 for 3 with a walk and is now hitting .240 which is a 50 point increase in almost two weeks. Fuck trading Shea for Kennedy, we need pitching.

The pitching staff until Burnett comes back should be:

Halladay
Chacin
Janssen
Lilly
Taubenheim

Brad Lidge :lol
Greg Maddux :lol
Jason Kendall :lol
Roy Oswalt :lol
Randy Johnson :lol
The entire twins team :lol
Jermaine Dye :lol

Okay, enough laughs. Thank you Baseball Tonight.

TOWERS AND ADAMS TO TRIPLE A. LOL. Hilarious. I guess Kennedy for Shea is happening. All I can say is poor Syracuse. The funny part is I doubt Towers wins any games there as Syracuses offense sucks and they rely on good pitching.

Don't forget Matt Clement. He deserves all the laughs you can muster. Hopefully he mysteriously lands on the DL in the near future, opening the door for LIMA TIME in Boston baby!!

ERRYBODY DANCE!

The three games in Chicago showed every ugly side of the A's from the past 5 years or so:

Game one: spot pitcher an early lead, pitcher does well, bullpen blows it. A's threaten and keep it close to keep the fans' hopes alive, then crash and burn

Game two: some piece of shit 5th (or in this case, 7th) guy in the rotation gets lit up early. A's have a good rally or two, but in the end roll over so they can hit the showers early.

Game three: pitcher looks good, has a quality outing. Offense never gets out the door, however, and cannot pick up a single clutch hit to save their lives, despite getting several breaks in their favor.

Just sucks to be a Choakland fan sometimes...Man I want Harden back

Aww, Dodgers lost their shutout. I swear, I like how Raffy is hitting now, but man his fielding has not been up to snuff.

How does Broxton get an earned run when the guy who scored got on on an error? Bizarre.

How about R. Martin with the clutch double to widen the lead. Tomko and Sele are freaking god sends! They haven't been completely dominating but the Defense is doing it's job which makes it easier for them. O. Perez should be paying close attention.

Hmm seems Adams went down to clear his head and get some work in at 2B, looks like Hill will switch to SS.

Some observations:

To the Cubs: Can you stop being losers long enough to let Maddux get to 324?! In April he was 5-0. In May, he's 0-4. I mean, Don Sutton got his hair specially permed today, just in case Maddux won so he could celebrate the event. For your own pride, for history and for Don's hair, Cubs...help Maddux win!

After watching tonight's Braves/Padres game, does anyone want to make a wager that Mike Piazza couldn't throw out a crippled sloth?

Good game tonight. Just read Broxton's got an 86mph split finger...simply amazing. It would be even more amazing if Gagne can work with him to learn his full repitiore.

Oh yeah Nomar got his first error :(

I'd totally fucking nail that chick. Her mouth seems to be of good enough size....
New avatar get.

Ahaha, I got the SI that's taken from yesterday and was dying. Showed it to my girlfriend and she said she looked like a blow-up doll. :lol

Before that, Clement retired the first five batters then walked Robinson Cano. After a visit to the mound from manager Terry Francona and pitching coach Al Nipper, Clement walked Terrence Long to load the bases then hit Kelly Stinnett with a pitch. Cabrera's two-run single and Derek Jeter's RBI double made it 4-2.

This doesn't make sense to me. So he retires the first five, then walks one, walks another, and loads the bases? Are they not mentioning a single or something?

Great win for us, even if it was ugly. 2 outta 3, half game out, Schilling saying we're decimated, gotta kick us when we're down, blah blah. Love it. My favorite part of the series?

Mo brushing back Manny last night (finally). That was just awesome. Mo is a god. Even better was the emotion he showed--actually that the entire dugout showed. We wanted it bad last night and I love us shaking off that business demeanor and showing passion.

I'm sure all the Bosox fans loved Jeter's play at the end as well. :D

- R. Cano walked
- B. Williams singled to pitcher, R. Cano to second
- T. Long walked, R. Cano to third, B. Williams to second
- K. Stinnett hit by pitch, R. Cano scored, B. Williams to third, T. Long to second
- M. Cabrera singled to right, B. Williams and T. Long scored, K. Stinnett to third
- D. Jeter doubled to deep left center, K. Stinnett scored, M. Cabrera to third
- G. Sheffield grounded out to third

You can close the book on Mike Maroth for this afternoon: 0.1 IP, 6 hits, 6 ER, 3 HR
:lol :lol :lol Holy shit.

Please tell me this is him coming back down to Earth. Next it's Nate Robertson's turn.

That magical 1/3rd of an inning for Maroth also included back to back to back homers. Wow.

Too bad the Royals are still going to fuck it all up and lose =(
Oh good, no sooner I post that than KC pitching allows another homer and Detroit is only down 1 now

on PTI they just said LEON from the bud commercials a few years ago is actually a minor league pitcher who got traded for 60 cases of beer.

Top 8th: Detroit
- P. Polanco singled to center, C. Monroe scored, C. Granderson to third
- I. Rodriguez tripled to deep right center, R. Santiago and C. Granderson scored
Top 9th: Detroit
- C. Monroe homered to deep center
- M. Thames homered to deep left center
- I. Rodriguez homered to deep left, B. Inge and C. Granderson scored

omg the agony

:lol And that was their "closer" pitching. :lol I feel so sorry for KC fans. I wish we had one on GAF.

Kansas City is a fucking failure. They need to combine with Florida and maybe their one superteam could be not completely miserable.

What the hell could they even put together with those two teams?

Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera combine with.....reggie sanders? :lol :lol :lol

The major difference is Florida can somewhat sustain itself from within. In a couple of years they'll most likely be a semi-respectable team. Meanwhile, the Royals will still be chugging along, running out a team of retreads and failed prospects.

I will be absolutely amazed if this years' Royals team does not break the `62 Mets' record of 120 losses. There is no hope in Kansas City.

KC does have some decent potential in their bullpen. Plus, that team would have GRITTY VETERAN LEADERSHIP from Sanders and Graffanino

Here's what I don't get about the Royals: They've been bad for so long yet they still have no farm system of mention. HOW CAN YOU LOSE FOR SO LONG AND HAVE NO PROSPECTS??? Who's drafting here? I don't get it ... All I remember is Beltran, Febles, Greinke annd Affeldt. Who else?

Jermaine Dye, Johnny Damon...
