And it looks like Hillenbrand is gone from the Blue Jays, he has been DFA'd. Apparently he was upset that upper management didn't congrat him on his adoption then apparently he went on a tirade that upper management and their treatment of the players are the reason the Blue Jays haven't done better and that he should have been traded 2 months ago. Gibbons than called him out and reamed him at a players only meeting. Oh Shea you locker room cancer.

"I love my teammates here, but I'm waiting to be traded," Hillenbrand said during a profanity-filled tirade. "I should have been traded two months ago."

Hillenbrand was upset that nobody in Toronto's front office congratulated him for adopting a baby girl last weekend. The Blue Jays' designated hitter left the team last Friday to be with his family and didn't return until Tuesday.

"They wonder why they are not winning," Hillenbrand said. "It's the atmosphere."

Hillenbrand, left out of the starting lineup Wednesday night, added that he should have just stayed home.

Apparently we could have gotten Howie Kendrick for him but now after his stupid tirade his values gone done in the toilet.

Damn it all, we should have just traded his ass in the off season, instead we traded Koskie for nothing.

This guy may be a dick, but he's a solid damn baseball player. If he's gone for nothing that'll be a total ****ing waste. Kendrick? No ****ing way..That guy is a great prospect! Jesus christ


This series ****ing sucked. Awful awful awful. The upcoming 4 game Yankee series is HUGE. Huge as in it should determine whether or not this team is a buyer or seller (playoffs or no playoffs) at the trade deadline. HUGE SERIES.

With shea being DFA'd we probably are not getting much for him. Maybe a mid level prospect or Adam Kennedy.
 
I absolutely love the news of Hillenbrand being DFA'd. I find it extra hilarious that he called Gibbons "unprofessional" for criticizing him in a meeting before tonight's game. This is the same man that called his former GM, Theo Epstein a homophobic slur for trading him to the Diamondbacks.
 
I find it more hilarious because Gibbons was the guy who always stood up for him and was the only reason he was still on the team and not traded in the off season, way to backstab you coach there Shea.

I dunno, lately I've been as inconsistant as the Sox starting pitching. I usually can't post during the actual games because of shitty work =(

It's usually post any rumors/whatever before work, work, come back and post more complaints about our pitching, get drunk, post things I have no recollection of in the morning.

And a funny story I have about Stinnett:

I've told the story here before, but this is a good place for anyone who missed it. I had front row seats at the Cell a while back when Stinnett was on the Diamondbacks. Before the game, he and the starting pitcher were warming up in the outfield, right by our seats. It was right around the All-Star break, so ushers were handing out ballots.
We noticed, much to our surprise, that Stinnett's name wasn't on the ballot. So we start screaming "Kelly! Kelly! Stinnett!" until he hears us. He walks over to us, most likely thinking we wanted an autograph. Well when he got to us, my friend points at the ballot and asks, "Hey Kelly, why isn't your name on here? I can't find it."
He gives us a dead stare for about 10 seconds, turns and goes back to warming up.

Later in the game he hit a home run =(

I can't blame Dirrrttttyyy. Reyes needed to get the sure out at first or make a good throw to 3rd. He did neither.
 
Yeah I saw that. Its like we were caught napping after this damn rain delay.
You could see the momentum building for the Reds as the game went on and on. Reyes making that mistake just capped it all off. Its games like this I hate to see. It could be compounded alot worse with a Braves win but theyre loosing so all is not lost.
 
How are the Pirates doing right now? It's been a while scince I hear any news on them. Marlins play them tomorrow. Predictions? (4 games). I say marlins win 3 of 4. At best we'll see a split.
