We might lose this game, but Brian Tallets dominance continues.

fear him

LOL, Hinske with another home run.

Josh Beckett, first 13 game winner in the majors. Who'da thunk it?

Ok, so the way I see it, our collapse at the end of last year just started early. In a few more days we'll go on a tear, like the end of last year.

At least that's what I keep telling myself. BTW can Soriano pitch?

Sure. Don't know if he can pitch WELL, but there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to pitch. :lol

ESPN hates the Yankees and its obvious. They also hate baseball or else they would fire ****ing STEVE PHILLIPS.

How do you hire him? How? His voice sucks, he's ugly, and he is terrible at "baseball."

Per NY Post, Harold Reynolds was fired by ESPN. No reason was given.

I was just going to post this. I really wonder what he did. With peter gamons and reynolds gone, it's gonna end up being the john kruk show pretty soon.

Wow, that came out of nowhere. I wasn't the biggest HR fan, but I will say that I think ESPN's baseball coverage has gone straight down the shitter lately. I can't even watch Baseball Tonight anymore.

He probably told Steve Phillips he ****ing sucks at baseball and he tried to forcefeed John Kruk a donut.

Kruk was pleased, but later felt he had been violated.

Harold Reynolds was awesome. What a shame.

If ESPN can bring back Miller (who drunkenly pissed on a cop in Cleveland), I wonder what Reynolds did that was so bad?

Please, Reynolds sucked too... just not as bad as the others.

Now all ESPN has left to do is fire Kruk, Phillips, Sutcliffe, Morgan, Brantley, Tino, Orestes, and probably some more I'm forgetting.

What a crew they have.

Kruk: Average at baseball for a 500 lb power hitter, sucks at analyzing baseball.
Steve Phillips: ****ing sucks at baseball
Sutcliffe: WAS DRUNK ON THE AIR
Morgan: Is perhaps the worst at analyzing baseball ever
Brantley: Sucked at baseball, talks slow and methodically as if to imply that talking slowly somehow enhances one's argument
Tino: *deer in headlights*
Orestes: Just sucks at everything

**** ESPN.

Reynolds, Ravech and Gammons ARE baseball tonight. Now they have 1 left, with one MAYBE coming back after he recovers.

**** Steve "I can't even get a GM job after 3-4 years, and those stupid ****ing fake-GM conferences probably made my chances worse" Phillips. **** John Kruk.

Is Orestes the one that sounds like Ricky Ricardo?
Not sure.

If they ever fire Ernesto Jerez, I'm through with ESPN baseball.

"Sólido, conectando. A lo profundo... y ¡no... nono, nono, no...! ¡Dígale que no a esa pelota!"

Santana v. Contreras tonight... Game of the Year coming up?

Well it's sure to be low scoring on the Sox end, because you know, we ****ing suck.

Oh, and Reynolds sucked. All of baseball tonight sucks.

Take this with a grain of salt of course, but this is from another forum:

my friend is a PA at espn and she said that there was something internal going on between harold reynolds and bonnie bernstein, she filed a civil suit against him for sexual harrassment and has acknowledged being "date raped" by him in the past.

OMG!! We have Miguel Cairo and Scott Proctor on our team.

Cairo and Proctor.

CairoProctor. ROFL

On a related note, Proctor's looking pretty damn unhittable as of late--like he did in the early part of the season though w/ slightly more velocity (if YES guns are to be believed). We need to make sure he's not going anywhere in the long term.

What do the knowledgable baseball people here think about him? Real deal or no?

WTF? Reynolds wasn't my favorite guy in the world, but he was a lot more tolerable than 95% of the ESPN staff.

Proctor's arm will fall off in mid-August and he'll never be the same again.

I think he went through his tired phase already when he was getting rocked for that semi-brief stretch. At least I hope. Mo usually gets one of those right around this time but so far so good.

He has good stuff, but he is being overused. Overuse can be disastrous for a young pitcher (what we call, "being Dusty Baker'd"). He may be pitching well now, but he won't be in September if he keeps being used in every damn game.

Yeah, I hope we get some more relief help to be honest, even over a starter. I'm annoyed the White Sox were able to get that kid from the Royals--no idea he was an All-Star in 2003.

I just hope Proctor got his tired phase over with--he seems very smooth in his release right now and even though Farnsworth makes me sweat all the time, the core trio has been solid for us, surprisingly so recently. What Torre needs to do is use Villone more than he does. The guy's been dependable all year.

You guys have more depth in the bullpen, which to me is your biggest advantage over us (besides fielding of course).

so HR is gone, baseball has been sucking for a long while now.
cairoproctor and the yankids keep us afloat. damon caught the pussyitis from carl pavano and hurt himself. pavano probably hurt himselff jerking off to a picture of allysa milano(SP?) so it goes...

Don't insult Damon like that. A fly has better fortitude than Pavano. Isn't Damon just out for tonight (and yesterday)? Stiff back or something? I know Jeter was banged up a little bit but at least he hit that triple after hitting the deck on that chin music.

damon was still "very stiff' as of this morning. werer is pavano anyway? witness protection? that's the guy that other yankee fans need to boo, not A-rod who goes out every day and tries at least.

OKAY just incase it was missed

Cairoproctor = chiropractor. Just incase.

I see him in the dugout. He should be arrested for robbery.

I think I saw him sitting in the Yankee dugout eating seeds in one of the games in the Toronto series. He better be careful he might tear his rotator cuff trying to shovel all those seeds into his mouth.
