I think The Godfather's epic pitching performance is what inspired the Houston offense. Either or the Padres just really stink.

Who are you to doubt Eric Wedge's magnificent managerial skills?

Staying with your closer after two HBP and a walk is a bold move that only genius managers make!

Not hurt at all. He just hasn't had that many saves recently because they've been winning by quite a few runs.

REC 6-0 | SV 22 | ERA 1.60 | WHIP .84

Pelfrey got sent down.
Awesome numbers. Microscopic WHIP - the anti-Looper according to article.

Yeah, Pelfrey had to go. Maine is awesome right now and El Duque is holding his own.

Wagner:
REC 3-2 | SV 23 | ERA 2.50 | WHIP 1.07 | BAA .198

Javy Lopez has been placed on waivers, and the Sox have inquired about him according to the Baltimore Sun.

Being in second place (if only by a few percentage points) has its perks. Go get him Theo. He has a higher batting average than Varitek!

It sure sucked watching the Jays season turn to shit in front of my eyes last night. I still hope they finish strong and position themselves for a real push to the pennant next year but what are they now, 6.5 out of the WC? That ain't happening. :|

I have this calendar and it is real. The article error (a instead of an) in front of the word indicates they just did what you said. Weak.

Yeah, sorry, but we owed you guys some payback after that 3 outta 4 shellacking you gave us a couple weeks back. We break out the broom this afternoon.

I traded for Alex Rios like the day before he got the staph infection... wait a month for him to come back and he's looking like poo. :(

Jul 1 7:38am J. Nathan (Min - RP) and T. Hudson (Atl - SP) for Á. Ríos (Tor - OF) and J. Bonderman (Det - SP). Had a bunch of closers and needed the K's more from Bonderman.

You know, Kay STILL says Matsui wrong. It always amuses me that he swears he says it right, but if you compare it to any other name that even looks like Matsui (like, say Matsuno :D), he's so wrong.

Did you know I hate most sports broadcasters?

I WILL HAVE YOUR BABIES, GIAMBI!!

Hey anybody remember when there was talk of the Blue Jays being in contention for the playoffs when the season started?

Yeah.....

Yeah.....

But... but the sports media said they were going to challenge for the division title!

Shut the hell up. Go and die.

I'm sorry, but I would appreciate it if your team could actually win a game at The Toilet right now. I'm sure you'll have no problem whooping our asses at Fenway.

I'll try to help you out...

COREY LIDLE IS PITCHING A ONE HIT SHUTOUT

It's only been two innings! The Jays will come back. Or not. I've given up all hope. Hey everyone, look at my Andy Pettitte avatar.

Also, Blue Jays bashing is less exciting without Fifty's Deformanny avatar. :-(
Hey man, you're back already after calling the game in Florida? Because you must have been . . . y'know, ejecting Cliff Floyd for arguing a strike 3 call when the pitch was a foot outside, mysteriously shrinking the zone when Wagner pitched, that kind of stuff.

I hope the goodship H.G.H. Giambi hits an iceberg.

Shouldn't you be somewhere making up stats or something?

DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO AND WHEN TO DO MY JOB. I'm not Brain Cashman, and you ain't Chris Russo. :D

And don't worry, with the influx of new Mets you people ain't seen nothing yet. I have so many unused .gif, images, and songs I will use in September and beyond.

I'm talkin' out my butt I used my best material already . . .

Lidle is doing very well. Only one big hit...and in that heat, it's impressive.

BBBB buu buu buu bbut but but NL pitchers are useless against AL hitters.

Ah... I see the Buccos finally did something good for once!

he just looks deathly ill. really skinny and pale. probably just the insane heat though.

Don't worry, once he has been around Giambi for a few weeks I'm sure he'll somehow turn into a total beast. Hmmm... :)
