hey guys there's a baseball game on ESPN2 let's all be friends and laugh at the Red Sox together
Maybe this should've been thought of 3-4 pages ago. . . except the laughing at Sox part. Apparently I iv offindid massas . . .

*shuffles and bobs away*

GO PAWSOX!

:(

Gabbard is fitting right in with the rest of the pitching staff! What a trainwreck this season has turned into. I can only hope that people get fired/traded because of this.

Whew, Swisher just missed that.

I really dunno where the Red Sox offense is gonna come from tonight. I mean it is Loaiza, but he's been pitching well lately, and that Sox line-up...yikes

Loaiza complete game shutout CONFIRMED.

The fact that he had a year not long ago where he finished with an ERA around 2, 21 wins, and 2nd in Cy Young voting blows my mind.

But hey, thanks for Contreras, New York.

Am I the only one who really has no idea when a pitcher commits a balk? I just can't ever spot it.

I can only tell in extreme cases. Most of the time I'm just like "uhhhhh, ok"

Boston bullpen in the 4th inning, always a good sign.

Alright! Bryan Corey time!

YOU'RE ****ED NOW A'S!

Look at Pena go!! WHAT A DIRT DOG! Let's sign him for 3 years at 150k per. Think of the value!

Man if only the Twins could go into a funk like this

This isn't a funk. This team is just that bad. They have a horrible pen, and they've been ravaged by injuries at the worst possible time. Oh, and the manager is a goddamn idiot.

Welcome to my world, atleast your manager hasn't tried to get into fights with some of your players.

I wish Francona would get into a fight with Wily Mo so he would get killed.

Oh God. Jeter MVP talk. **** THIS.

According to Buck, "Jeter picked up the slack when they lost sheffield and "guerrero" and was helped by guys like Bubba Crosby"

Not sure where to begin with that

Why does Little continue to insist on getting 2 innings out of the arms we have in the bullpen? How often has it backfired on him and yet he continues to throw guys out there night after night. :sigh

Reds: "Cause I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...free fallin'!"

If Florida wins the WC, it's a Yankee victory by proxy since Joltin' Joe Girardi is the manager <3

Also, Carl Pavano is the worst signing since Beltre. :-(

Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was scheduled to leave the team Tuesday and return to Boston to be examined again for an irregular heartbeat.

Big Papi was a late scratch for Boston's game Monday night at Oakland for what was first thought to be the flu. Ortiz, who on Sunday hit his major league-leading 47th home run at Seattle, already spent time in a Boston hospital earlier this month for the condition.

He said he thought it was caused by fatigue.

"He will get a clean bill of health before he plays again," manager Terry Francona said. "The games are important, but we have a responsibility to do what's right."

Said Sox reliever Mike Timlin: "It's not good. This game is nothing compared to someone's health or family. We don't play games with people's lives. I don't know any of the details. All I can do is pray for him."

Well that doesn't sound good =/

If the A's don't sweep the Sox.. then there's something seriously wrong with the A's.

How long until ESPN's BottomLine reads: "PAPI DEATHWATCH 2006, IS IT PART OF THE CURSE? "

The Boston Red Sox are actively shopping veteran pitcher David Wells to determine what they could get if they decide to trade the lefty in the next 48 hours.

I'll give you a bag of donuts

Among the contending teams that make sense as possible suitors for Wells would include the Mets, Twins, Diamondbacks, Padres, Dodgers, Phillies, Cardinals, A's and the Reds.

I knew we would be in the running! Come on David, new ballpark, best young power hitter, best 2nd baseman in the NL...what else do you need!? Oh! Charlie Manuel, a coach who....is worse than Larry Bowa, cant beat that!
