How long has Tekken 5 been out in Europe? And I didn't even know there was a MotoGP 4. Their tennis games always seem to sell best in Europe.

According to gamefaqs, Tekken 5 was released June 24. This means it sold 757 000 copies in one week in Europe! Most impressive, GO TEKKEN!! :D

Tekken is huge in Europe. Basically the only fighting series people care about.

Yeah...I've actually met a lot of people (many girls included) here in Sweden who don't know much about games, but they DO know about and enjoy the Tekken series. It's one of those mainstream series that people seem to be really familiar with.
 
Count me in with anecdotal evidence of Tekken's popularity with the ladies. I don't know if it's the character design or what (my old roommate is still in complete lust with Jin :lol), but nearly every woman I've introduced to the series has really gotten into it. *shrug*

Because reviewers had no other series to really compare them to back then. Now with Climax` Moto GP series they do. Which the scores for the 4th game shows.

Came out the 24th June in the UK, but I'd agree those are crazy, silly numbers for 6 days.

Maybe these aren't sales figures at all, but sales projections?

I think they predicted it would sell 300,000. It just might at this rate, especially if it goes the $10 route of the GBA Pac Man game.

Impressive, I thought it sold less than that.

(US)327.000 + (JP)274,682 = 601,682

Hopefully, with another 200k in europe, it'll be 800K world wide by the end of the year.
It'll probably break a million next year, sony should offer a GH line for the psp.

Shit... NPD numbers have Ridge Racer at like 186,000. Unless Wal-Mart is really that big, it kind of throws the other numbers out the window.

Maybe this is just shipped number. If it is, though, why are Namco x Capcom's numbers so close to its actual sales?

I don't understand why it went there, but you have flat out ass taste if you're trying to argue Namco's Moto game is superior. There's too many other good games to congratulate Namco on.

You can add roughly ~10% of the US figures to account for Canada too... so RR has probably sold around 200k in North America.
 
I'm more surprised about Pac-Man Pinball Advance selling 200,000. I heard it was a POS. Or did it go budget pretty quickly?

It was released at $19.99. Pac-Man games seem to sell exceptionally on GBA on GBA in general.

I bet Pac-Pix would've sold 100k here had it been $20 instead of $30.
