Hmm I think 4 wide is a great touch. I can mix up the run etc. Running I form in this game is pretty much a joke. And the game was closer than you claim.
I can't do much when the first drive of the game two passes hit my receivers dead in the face while their looking at me. You got one deep pa pass first play of the game, you went for it on fourth day the first drive of the game (lol w/e) that was your first score. Second score was off a bogus pass because my receiver ran directly into my other even though they were running completely seperate different direction routes. So that one I couldn't help. The third score was off another PA bomb. So really summary:
1st score: pa bomb for 40 yards, my db's didn't feel like covering, you go for it on fourth and then score somehow once you were inside the 20.
2nd score: ncaa football causes my receivers to get locked on each other causing the pass to go wide 5 yards to a lone DB.
3rd score: pa bomb begining 2nd half..
My guys shut me down the first 2 drivers, the 3-4th you shut me down, the rest I was all over your "vanilla D."
it's no fun to play defense from there. i have to have extra CB's on the field, 1 LB or i risk a serious matchup problem.
yeah you did have some untimely drops, but you also had a few lucky broken tackles that first drive that prolonged the drive.
the 1st TD i got i went for it on 4th and 2 from your 33 cause my fg kicker is weak and i would've missed it. had to keep momentum
2nd TD i made that play 100% by myself. i'm not sure why you were passing on 3rd and short instead of trying to run but i called your bluff on that on that one and got the pick-6
3rd td was an awesome call after i pounded your defense to midfield by running. your entire D bit on that PA fake hook line and sinker
to close i don't think you were all over my "vanilla" d (i said i ran a vanilla offense but regardless). the problem i have is that because you play 4 wide i have to put extra CB's on the field. which means if i blitz it is easily noticeable from the snap. if i don't blitz you can run around behind the pocket like a chicken with it's head cut off. aparently bomar is the next mike vick cause it seemed like you had 10 yards to scramble whenever you wanted it. and while there are a few plays that can stop that QB running easily, it leaves me open to flat passes as well as jump balls down the sideline. oh well, gg, see you for the madden season.
