Oh the humanity. Is Konex cheering for the Gators or something? WTF is going on today? :( PEACE.

Just isn't our day. It was bound to happen eventually. You play 5 top 10 teams in one year and you are bound to lose a game. Thats what happens when you play in the hardest conference in college football with a new coach. We will still have a huge shot at the SEC, beating FSU, and even going to a BCS bowl game if we win out. It is one loss, no biggie. You have to remember, Meyer has to adjust as much as the players do. No one really expected us to be as good as we have been in the first year under Meyer, but also no one denies we will be a powerhouse next year and for the forseeable future.

UF looked awful today. After today's performance, UF might have a hard time staying in the top 15. Ouch. :(

O please, we wont drop out of the top 15. We are playing one of the best defense in the nation at their home on what will be their best performance all year. You really need to put some perspective on this.

Tennessee has a better defense, and UF didn't have much trouble with them. I was talking about UF staying in the top 15 by year's end.

O, by year's end. I think that is a little too early to tell. If UF comes back to win out in the SEC East, that wont happen even with a loss to FSU at the end of the season.

Holy crap, broken ankle. As I said, best performance you will see out of 'Bama all season, and now their season is shot.

The Alamaba player's ankle!! AND THEY KEEP SHOWING REPLAYS! OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!
i didn't see it. what happened? Ankle break? those things are painful.

nowhere near as bad as that bryant young shin-collapse on monday night football a few years ago... *edited out of sheer decency haha*

nowhere near as bad as that bryant young shin-collapse on monday night football a few years ago, where he took a helmet to his shin and you just saw the entire thing roll up forwards... ugh.

O god, please dont remind us. One of the worst 'looking' injuries I have ever seen.

Dude that was talking shit about Penn State in the beginning of the thread is loosing all sorts of credibility.

Should be a good game next week against OSU.

That was me. And I'm a Penn State fan, so take that for what it's worth.

I guess Meyer wont be getting much sleep tonight. He has been known for not sleeping after a loss. To be honest, he deserves that kind of feeling, but a little humility on the field is good for the whole team.

Good going 'Bama, but after that injury, your season is over. I hope this win was enough for you guys. I mean that, because injuries like that just suck for any team.

Onward to homecoming, where we will welcome them to the world's largest student run pep rally. Gator GROWL.

Dude. WTF? One guy doesn't make a team. Stop running damage control. Looks like UF's season is over. Leak played like shit.

I am hardly running damage control. It is the truth, and I damn well know Leak played like shit. I am not going to defend him for that piss poor performance.

Injury sucks, but it's just a single WR. He's not the only one we've got. You are a seriously poor football fan. Your #5 football team just got mudstomped, and your boys WILL lose to Georgia. Looks like we don't have to worry about seeing you guys in Atlanta.

Seriously, is that the only thing you can say after getting manhandled 31-3? Prothro is a great receiver, but he's far from the only good player on the team.

Only thing I can say? I said we played like shit. What more do you want? A fucking poem. Get real.

Fuck you, TV people.

Instead of USC-Arizona State, I got every god damned second of a blowout and "A special edition of WNEP's Home and Backyard."

Fuck you.

Your boys failed to score a touchdown for the first time in 13 years. Chew on that some. Went for it on 4th down TWICE inside the 15, and failed. FAILED.

No kidding, we dont need to see another patsy match up. Show us the REAL game that is going on right now.

....o great, USC just scored...

How about you stop acting like an asshole before you look like a troll. I am not defending our perforance, and you guys had a great one. Again, what more do you want?

Is that right? First time they didn't score a touchdown in 13 years? Damn!! So much for Urban Meyer... :lol

I'll stop when you stop. No need to chide about our injury. Your comment yesterday on us not having a chance of winning, followed by "well, your season is over, I hope your happy" is chickenshit.

Bama has every reason to gloat, but you are going to disregard our coach after 5 games? :lol

See you later this year.

El Presidente, bitches! They ran the ball down ASU's throats this drive. I always thought they should run more. Bush and White are as good of HBs as there are in the country.

IMMACULATE RECEPTION 2!!!

edit: And that's a wrap. LenDale white is a beast. USC could have 3 players go in the top 5 in the draft next year.

That game was pretty crazy. That 4th INT was sort of amazing - totally flukey that a good WR like Hagan would volleyball a pass like that.... then Ellison grabs it, gets hit by a safety, probably exploding his knee in the process, and holds on. Absolutely saved the game, probably at the expense of his season.

I kind of liked Keller because he was the anti-Andrew Walter last year - where Walter was one of the most reliable chokers in football during his career, Keller had been pretty clutch, like when he beat Purdue in that bowl game on a last second drive. I didn't mind seeing him get beat down and picked five times, though.... shouldn't talk shit about Leinart like that, dude. Although, to be fair, only four of those INTs were his fault.

Too bad USC didn't try running the ball until the second half, the game could've really gotten out of hand early on while the offense was sputtering early on. Also, I loved Reggie Bush's tackle after that fumble by Jarrett. :lol

I'm absolutely shocked by the Alabama / Florida result. Wow. I'm kind of glad I didn't make that 'Florida wins in a blowout' prediction I was thinking about last night........

Just got home from the PSU - Minnesota game for anyone that cares. That was a craaaazy atmosphere. What a great win, only bad thing is I didn't see any of the rest of the games. Seems like that MSU-Michigan game was great and the Alabama-Florida game was pretty surprising as well, not to mention the USC-ASU game. By the way did anyone know that Penn St. was supposed to play Alabama this year but they backed out because of their scholarship restrictions? Could've been a huge early season matchup looking back now. Oh well... we want the Buckeyes.

We Are.... Penn State!!!!!

P.S. Konex, I understand your pessimism but come on man, this was a great win regardless. Looks like you aren't here anymore but the valley is buzzing. Senior year thank God they're doing something great.

I've been away all day, but Roll Tide anyway. I think Florida is a better team than they looked today, just happened to be that we got the breaks early and never looked back.

It really sucks to lose Prothro. I know we have many talented receivers, but he really was a spark for the team and I'm real sad to see my favorite player since David Palmer go down with such a nasty injury.

All this being said I really have doubts about Urban Meyer's offense in the SEC. It really hit me after watching the Tennessee game that the Florida defense won for them. The offense does not look to be suited that well to the most defensively competent conference in the nation. At the same time Meyer is obviously a very accomplished coach and I'm sure he'll tweak the offense to be more competetive.

Finally, I'm real proud of the Bama coaches today. Shula has really seemed to come into his own over the past three weeks. I was real impressed that we didn't get way to conservative after we got up big in the second and third quarters. Kines is a defensive mastermind, however I can't stand only rushing three people no matter what the situation. Finally Dave Rader; I really have nothing to say about him since it seems Shula is calling the plays. I really don't know what he does.

Well you may think we are better, and we are on paper, but we certainly have a long way to go.

The way I look at it, Urban is just now learning what the SEC is all about. Kentucky was the first sign of that. It doesn't matter what team or what quarter, you dont put in a full line of 2nd string in an SEC match-up. Now he got beat fair and square, so he gets yet another valuable lesson about just how HARD the SEC really is. I am sure you can attest to it form being there, but even from watching it on TV, it looked like the loudest game I have seen all season save the UF-UT game. Congrats on the win, hell, we all saw you deserved it. See you in Atlanta. :)

We'll see Georgia in Atlanta. Urban HAS to find a way to get a bit of power running into his offense. There are a couple fast, physical defenses in the league, and if you can't run, it's not going to be pretty. Running out of the shotgun doesn't work all the time.

Wynn is very capable. I hardly think Florida's running game problems are the running backs. It rests almost squarely on our underpowered O-line.

As for seeing Georgia, its a little early to say that. What is UF's record against them, 15 out of the last 16 meetings or something to that effect?

But first meeting against Urban, and they're gonna be looking awfully hard at the video from this game. Their main worries is how Shockley will play game to game.

Sure, but you think Urban is just going to coast through the next few weeks? Again, it is way too early to judge the outcome of the UF-UGA game. Period, on either side.
