Okay boyos, less than a month until the season kicks off. And with the NHLPA screwing things up on the major league level, maybe college hockey will get a little more notice this year.

The WCHA is going to be an interesting conference this year. UND's been screwed up after losing Blaise, Parise, and Bochenski. Minnesota lost Vanek and Ballard. UMD will be interesting to watch now that they no longer have Lessard. SCSU (my school) will hopefully show up at the NCAAs this year. Incoming class looks promising, and our losses were minimal over the post-season. Mankato and Tech will suck.

Season prediction? Yet another WCHA vs. Hockey East championship with the WCHA winning again.

Man, I haven't been to any Huskies games in a few years--sucks having to work every Friday and Saturday. I'll have to try to see a few games this year(at least SCSU vs. the U of M) since there wont be any NHL games for a while. It's always fun going to Huskie games because the fans are really into it.

Wonder if some of these games will be shown up here...Lord knows the three hockey have some programming spots to fill.

SCSU vs. U of M, now that's a heated rivalry. Apparently the players on each team just hate each other.

Although, the teams I hate the most are Wisconsin and UND. Looking forward to watching the Sioux sputter and fail without Blaise or Bochenski. Minnesota, even after losing Ballard and Vanek, still have the best coach in college hockey, so I really can't write them off.

Yeah I'd have to say my least favorite teams in the WCHA are also Wisconsin and UND. I dont hate the Gophers as much as I did when Doug Woog was coach, they used to be so high and mighty about only having Minnesotans on the roster and would look down on SCSU for recruiting Canadians. I think Don Lucia is an excellent coach for the Gophers, so no matter how many players they lose he'll keep them competitive. I do think Craig Dahl doesn't get enough credit for the coaching job he does.
