GAME MODES

Road to the Striker Cup
Choose a team and battle for glory in a round-robin style tournament. Win each cup to progress to the next, with the Striker Cup as your final goal! Along the way, you will unlock new Strikers and Stadiums to use in Domination Mode. Choose between Normal or Extreme difficulty and get ready for kick-off!

Domination Mode
Tailor matches to your liking by freely selecting game rules and the skill level of your opponent. You can even activate previously unlocked cheats to spice up the match. Select a Captain, Sidekick and Stadium and then head out onto the pitch.

Striker Challenges
Take on a series of different challenges for each character. Show the diversity of your skills and you'll be awarded Player Cards for bragging rights and cheats to add even more madness to your matches - or the opposite, if that's what tickles your fancy today.

Hall of Fame
View the Trophies and Awards you have obtained from the Road to the Striker Cup and the Player Cards you received after completing the Striker Challenges. Check your overall progress, and casually leave this screen on when your friends come over.

Strikers ABC
Check the game controls and get practising! Time spent here learning about Super Abilities and MegaStrikes is bound to pay off once you take to the pitch.

I'll be back online later tonight & in the next day or two I'll tidy this up & add more information, but as gamers are getting this early I thought it would be useful to have it up and running quickly, especially for exchange of Friend Codes.

EDIT: Updated 26/05/2007. There still appear to be problems with access for many gamers, with the error code 98020 appearing regularly. Hopefully any server problems will be sorted out promptly.

EDIT: Updated 27/05/2007. New header, more info and more codes. I'll carry on adding to this as and when time allows, but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to pitch in. See you on the field!

EDIT: Updated 28/05/2007. Added all new GAFers and Mii names where appropriate. I had to do it in a spare minute at work when the boss wasn't looking, so let me know if you spot any mistakes

If it's true that it is the Mii's which have the friend codes, that would be pretty good. That would mean that the system gives your Mii and friend code when you create it, and then Strikers gets that Mii off the system and uses it.

That's probably not how it works though. Someone with the game, try using different Mii's online and see if the friend code stays the same.

The Nintendo WFC data (statistics, friends etc) is linked to a Mii. This info is stored on the system seperate to the game save file. This seems encouraging as it hints on the Mii friend code remaining the same across all future WFC games. Although we wont know for sure until the next online release (Metroid?)

Added everyone - BTW, does anyone else find the megastrike goal-saving section really laggy? The rest of the gameplay is fine, but that section is always a pain - and it guarantees that if an opponent gets the strike & it starts lagging, I can't save all goals, no matter how good I am.

I've only had one really laggy game and the bit I hated about it was the defending. Not fluid enough to judge tackles. Not many people manage to pull off those megashots against me

Oh god, what a match!

I lost the first one 2-0 because I wasn't really into it yet. Second one I get a lead of 6-1 through 3 Megastrike goals and 3 regular goals. There was no way he could've come back from that. But then he started exploiting the Super Mario and Starman combo to get his own Megastrike in. It wasn't even that good of a Megastrike. Earlier I stopped off three very fast balls. But this time I let 5 balls fly past me! So it was down to 6-6 and overtime kicked in. He managed to get another Megastrike in and scored 3 times. So the second match ended in 6-9! =(

Ack, I hate this game!

Yeah, I'd like to know who that is as well. Played him yesterday, and the most hilarious thing happened: I tackled his Birdo (Who had the ball) on the middle of the field and the ball rolled ALL THE WAY into the goal (Goalie didn't do anything). I laughed so hard.
