defense is not what cost us that game. red zone offense and special teams did. the eagles special teams arent anything very special as far as coverage and run backs. checkmark to the niners there.

You jumped ahead in that game and never looked back until they were 3 points away from tying the game. That WILL not happen with the Eagles. We held the Falcons to 14 points without trotter, what do you think will happen when he plays on sunday motivated? Your Defence will not be enough to hold us back. MAYBE in the running game but we will exploit your DB's all day.

i thought the same thing too, but the niners totally sold out against the pass. they dropped everyone way back into coverage to take away the deep routes. they didnt respect the running game at all, and we still couldnt really make them pay. 89 yards rushing altogether. and we have better backs than you do. dont underestimate the niners man, they're gonna be right there i think.

Detmer is listed as the #2 because he holds for Akers. If Mcnabb were to go down Mcmahon would get bumped up to the starting role. Detmer cannot QB in the NFL anymore, he looked really bad in preseason.

and rest assured we are going to blitz the crap out of whoever your QB is. to be honest i would almost rather face mcnabb, he looked like crap last night after the hit (overthrowing people, underthrowing people, he just wasn't on target)

Teams blitzed the crap out of the eagles all last year. Thats why we had so many big plays. We know how to handle it. Last nights performance was just a case of opening night jitters. Mcnabb has lost 4 of the last 5 openers, its a bad trend but it has yet to hurt us in the long run. The main advantage the 9ers have is that we always seem to have issues with the 3-4 defense.

Eagles have been known around the NFL for years for having great special teams. They looked pretty good last night against another great special team unit from atlanta.

No i think Detmer is our #2 QB. After McNabb got that hard hit last night Detmer jogged out on the field with the rest of the team before McNabb felt good enough to comme back in after the commercial break

If you put the 3rd qb in I dont think Mcnabb could have returned. If Mcnabb were to get injured in a game Detmer would finish it then Mcmahon would start the next week. If that doesnt happen Andy Reid will pay.

I dont know. Thats just the explination im given every time I ask. Its the only one that makes sense considering how badly Koy was outplayed in the preseason.

I heard threw a friend that Jim Mora Jr. told Kevin Mathis to start with Jeremiah Trotter, I heard that Mathis than got the game ball. This was seen on NFL Network. I missed this but I was wondering if anyone else saw this. I need some info, maybe a link. Well I know, I haven't got a chance to talk shit to all you doubters out there that give us a chance in hell to win this game, but I think I'm going to pass on it because the way our D played last night pretty much spoke for me.


I will say the Trotter excuse is pretty bad. I thought the Eagles were supposed to have good depth on D. If your defense relies that heavily on one man, that's a big problem.



You know I will talk a little shit, because all the Eagle fans down at the Dome last night pissed me off with their Eagle and TO chanting. How the hell did Eagle fans think their team were going to come down here and beat us? The whole damn city was ready for this game. Philly wasn't the only team that made mistakes last night. Just like the game could have changed if Akers didn't miss those field goals, the game could have been different if we didn't kill ourselves with holding penatlies, shit happens in games you just have to deal it with.

With all that said, good game by both teams. The Eagles D is serious, with that damn beast Dawkins at the helm, when is his contract up? Hey Duece when is his contract up?

Botttomline was the only reason he walked way across the field over to where the Falcons were warming up was to talk shit and try to start something and he ended up getting more than what he bargained for, just like the entire team got shocked when the Falcons approached them when they tried stomping on their logo
