It does, although (and sorry to keep going on about this) the 60hz thing is really annoying. Looks like we can still play against other folk though - tried it against (obviously 60hz playing Japanese gamers) on Ridge Racer and it was fine. Odd.

I'm even tempted into getting an el-cheapo Woolworths HDTV (about £400 with HDMI)...

With the amount of Physics, Animation and scale, ontop of the Graphics in Sony's first party compared to what the third party are doing you wouldn't believe first and third party are on the same system.

So while that PR drivel makes me sick I agree that so far from what we've seen in Sony's first party are a cut above the rest, and not just by graphical polish.

I like the browser-feature. I thought I wouldn't put much use into it but I can see myself using it for a decent amount. I have Picture in Picture (only with HDMI and DVI) on my HDTV so I can browse GAF while having TV in the lower lef corner. :lol
Best aspect of the PS3 that stands out to me so far is that it's very quiet, it feels good.

when the van pulled up outside my house my heart started beating a thousand times a minute..with all the bad press and doom mongering you cant beat the excitement of a new console. I plugged it into my HDTV set and my jaw dropped. Absolutely stunning. What a beast of a machine! My Virtua Tennis 360 arrived too so ive got a lot of gaming to do but i have to fix my room first.. im sanding plaster so my room has to be empty to stop the dust getting everywhere. If only i could change the pink background :lol

Tried two PS2 games with software BC - God of War & GTA : SA and both appeared to work fine. GTA supposedly has noticeable issues but it appeared to work as far as I could tell.

So far, so good.

By happy coincidence, the PS2 memory adapter, remote control and extra controller I ordered from the US arrived this morning too. So I was able to copy all my game saves no trouble.

I'm using a SCART/RGB cable (better than the standard in the console, and they had no hdmi cables) and I have to suffer with macrovision protection?! WTF?! That is so lame.... plus instead of RR7 i bought F1 (along Motorstorm and Resistance) and remembered about RR7 only afterwards (I love RR and hate F1, bought it only to have my sister play with it... what an idiot I am).
So I'll be forced to use the sucky standard cable if I want to watch DVDs on a PS3? I was looking forward to eliminate my DVD player and use the PS3 instead for that as well, but looks like i wont.

If it's all green, change your video settings to RGB.

The same reason normal computers have TV-out - so you can connect it up to a big telly. Seriously, there is only one card in existence that accepts HDMI input for a PC, and it costs $$$ and won't work with a laptop anyway since it's PCI-e. So I seriously doubt the HDMI connectors on Qosmios are inputs.

Works very well. Alot faster to use compared to the PSP-style OSK. I have tried using the keyboard as well. Works wonderfully.

Just tried the F1 demo. Graphics are very very impressive. Now, off to some Resistance co-op.

Swedish keyboards work with the system btw.. Proof -> ÅÄÖ åäö
