what they've shown so far (jrpgs, jrpgs, and more jrpgs!) and their pricing + bundles in japan is the best they've ever shown over there... EVER. In December, they're doing a "relaunch" of sorts with Blue Dragon, Lost Planet, Winning 11, Viva Pinata, and DOAX2 and a lower price. If that doesn't give them any kind of momentum in Japan, then *nothing* will.

Outside of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are RPG's really as popular in Japan as they used to be? Seems like the sales are down on RPG's in Japan across the board.

Pretty much.

FF, DQ and non-games are the only thing that sells in Japan these days. That and the occasional gundam game.

It's always possible but they haven't really said anything about it. I think people are expecting to see alot of games there that we haven't seen (LA Noire for one) or haven't seen often. But there's no telling what Sony will do.

I'm glad to here the KH chain of memories remake is a separate project. Althought its still whoring, I wasn't about to buy another copy of KH2 just for CoM. I never touched the GBA version so I'll likely snag acreasonabley priced copy of this.

I'm the one who said that KHCoM PS2 is a seperate project, and I might be mistaken. In the V Jump they have scans for KHCoM PS2 as well as KH2 Final Mix, but there's only a title for KH2FM. Even to Jump it is unclear if they are two seperate games or part of the same package. S-E might clarify at TGS.

Here's what confirmed either way:

- KH2FM will have new event scenes featuring Namine
- There will be more scenes featuring the XIII members
- English voices
- An extension of the secret video with one of the armored dudes unmasked looking like Sora

- KHCoM PS2 will be fully voiced
- All cutscenes are 3D like KH/KH2 now
- Gameplay is all 3D, even moving from map to map
- Still card-based

Given that Square can easily get away with making it a seperate game I think they will.

Also: I don't see it mentioned elsewhere but It's A Wonderful World, the DS game by Nomura, is coproduced by Jupiter. It's basically the KH and KHCoM team.

Not sure if you'd be able to answer this, but does the actual KH team have more involvement in this than they did in KH:CoM?

We already know about GT HD though! 50 to 80yen per car, 200 to 500yen per track! GT HD Premium (GT5 testbed, awesome next-gen, arcade mode only) comes with 30 cars and 2 tracks, GT HD Classic (GT4 upgrade total, what we saw at E3, network mode) comes with 0 cars and 0 tracks. More cars and tracks will be released for Premium as they make them (and as you pay for them) while 750 cars and 50 tracks will be available for GT HD Classic (for you to buy right after you've bought GT HD!) with more available as time goes by.

So Square has the time and resources to remake a GBA game to be included as an extra in a PS2 game re-release that nobody asked for. But they can't remake Final Fantasy VII, which the fans are dying for? I don't know who they're fooling with that bullshit excuse, especially when they've remade FFIII, started working on new IPs for DS (thank God), and release spin-off after spin-off of main series FFs (FFXII DS, DoC, CC, etc.).

The least they could do is farm the project out to a 3rd party (like Mistwalker is doing), and let them handle the technical aspects of putting the game together.

I wish Sony would bundle the GT HD Classic game with every PS3. It would give the presumed PS3 online community a good start, and a lot people would at least be tempted to buy a few cars and tracks just to try it out. But I guess Sony are aiming at snatching every single yen they can at launch, oh well... :lol
