Official Xbox 360 NCAA '12 Online Dyansty Thread: Always never letting you down!

This thread made a curious turn.

Rors, I think I'm done picking up yearly Madden trash. Game is more broken than NCAA and I doubt Tiburon B team could fix anything.

It's broken, but it's less broken than this mess. I totally can't fault you for giving up on Madden, though.

different strokes for different folks. i'm loving ncaa on the field this year. not happy about the bullshit "non" tackles, but they don't happen every play. besides that it plays a really good game of football on the field. i hope madden's pass D is on par with NCAA

I'm guessing part of the reason for "non" tackles is this being college football. There are over 100 college single A teams. The NFL only takes the best of the best. You will have more blown plays in college football because the talent pool variance is higher.

Yet somehow NCAA finds a way to have a better pass defense structure than Madden with a much worse talent pool.

We're not talking about missed tackles or shed tackles. There are times when the players just watch the guys go by or rub up against them softly without even impeding their momentum. You can even circle around the ball carrier while rubbing up against him without triggering any animation (happens with QBs all the time) or you can press X and it will just ignore your input or dive at nothing haha

Yeah this aspect is annoying. That is a big reason I lost my game to CPU NC game with that QB avoidance cheese. I'm still mad about that! My linebacker has the CPU QB lined up at the 5 yard line, easy tackle. Whoops nope he will run in a circle behind them! Then my safety sticks the QB at the 2 yard line but what is this? My LB who missed the QB at the 5 comes from the back out of nowhere and pushes the QB into the end zone for a TD. So awesome. :D

Hopefully the patch fixes it. And this league so we can play.

I think that is supposed to be addressed in the patch, specifically going after the QB on the run. Of course, we'll see how it turns out post-patch but if it is indeed fixed, then one of your gripes is gone.

Damn cert. If this were on Steam we would have the patch already. Oh wait EA doesn't like Steam right now because it is too popular.

NCAA 13 PC Origin futures!

FMT claims that the A+ for the SEC is unfair. He doesn't tell you that the B1G has an A and the Big12 has a B+. Basically he's shifting the advantage over to his conference.

damn rors i was waiting in the lobby cause i had to have some work done on my gf's car and i couldn't stop fucking laughing at that and there were a couple big tittied younger ladies looking at me. probably thought i was a fucking nerd looking at my smart phone and laughing.... which i am

and he was unable to finish 10 games last year due to injury?! looks like EA hit the nail on the head with his injury rating this year. i wish this patch would go up :(

Help me out with some Pro Tips on recruiting, please.

I've never really done Recruiting before, nothing serious anyway. I mainly just play through the season, then play online. But I'm doing some cheevo hunting and I'm going for the Dual Threat Coach cheevo, which requires the #1 recruiting class. Well, I've done the cheevo-hunting stuff (create ten 5* recruits in Tallahassee and target them), and now I'm about to start the season.

Basically, I just need to know these things:

- Should I spend time with all 35 recruits I'm targeting each week?

- Does it matter if I do recruiting before or after each game?

Any other recruiting tips you have is appreciated.

Thanks!

Don't recruit 35 players. You only have 25 scholarships anyway. On top of that, the roster cap is 70, which averages out to 17.5 players a year. So I'd say to focus on about 15-20 recruits a year, that way you have more time to spend with each.

As to your second question, it doesn't matter when you do your recruiting, as long as it's done before you advance.

I'm currently trying to avoid picking up Resistance 3 and Dead Island. I'm sure next week will also make my Wallet cower in fear.

Sometime yeah, not tonight though. Might have time early tonight, if I get home early enough to have time to finish a game.

Pheenix we gotta play our bowl game later tonight!

Unfortunately I won't be able to play until midnight or so tonight and tomorrow, and won't be available till 11 or 11:30 on Friday and Saturday. But if you can catch me tomorrow morning/early afternoon or on Friday morning/afternoon I could do it

Yea fuck that. I'm trading it in. Let's call it, doctors. Time of death, 6:38PM.

I'm so tempted to just trade in NCAA and pick up Fifa.

If you do, join the 360 GAF roster. We play 11-on-11 online matchups. It's awesome.
When it's not laggy as fuck

I have wanted to try Fifa. Not a huge Soccer fan, but the premise of having all 11 players be individuals is outstanding.
