The last 4 weeks on XBLA has been great. I didn't buy any of them but they were good releases that didn't interest me. Although TMNT and that Jetpack game interest me, primarily due to nostalgia for TMNT and price.

It'll be interesting to see what the next month will bring.

Well they should have Ikaruga sitting there. BBR and Double Dragon appear to be close to done as well. Eets was on the list of 12 along with Catan so they had to believe it'd release at some point soon.

So, maybe this week wont be great but next week will be a top release almost for sure. We hope.

Hmm. Well, February was the big fight, March was make-up sex. What usually comes after make-up sex? Oh damn, back the mundane day-to-day normality. Can we fight again for a month? The make-up sex was worth it.

Ebgames has Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged for $19.99. So does Amazon . . . I guess it is a price-drop.

For comparison, that is equal to paying 1600 MS points for:
- Geometry Wars Evolved (normally 400 points)
- Bejeweled 2 Deluxe (normally 800 points)
- Wik: Fable of Souls (normally 800 points)
- Hardwood Backgammon (normally 400 points)
- Outpost Kaloki X (normally 800 points)
- Texas Hold’em (normally 800 points)

(That is according to prices listed on wikipedia, correct me if I/Wiki am wrong.)

Unfortunately for me, I have 1/2 those games already. :-/
Game Rush has it for 10.00. I know most have already sold it at that insane price since it's been going on for a week and a half but it's still worth checking out. They've got a ton of stuff 50% off. I was able to pick up Saints Row for 25, Lord of the Rings: BFME II for $15 and Full Auto for $10.

Guess its gonna be no games for me till Ikaruga then... Luxor? ugg
I should probably point out that while Ikaruga did appear on PartnerNet at one point, it still hasn't been officially confirmed.

Expect 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures, Band of Bugs, Catan and Eets: Chowdown. It's also worth nothing that Band of Bugs comes from Ninja Bee (Outpost Kaloki X, Cloning Clyde). And Big Huge Games is handling Catan. Should be some good stuff.

Actually while Band of Bugs is Ninja Bee, Eets: Chowdown is not, it's made by Klei Entertainment. Ninja Bee only sells the game on their site.

Ah, thanks for the clarification.

I may pick this up after I finish Castlevania. I did not pick up Zuma, and this seems like it is a similar game. I may as well pick up Jetpac while I am at it.

Isn't it nice to have these kind of dilemas when browsing through XBLA? I now have a backlog of games that I want to download. Who would have thought that this would be the case 2 months ago? I hope MS keeps it up!

Just downloaded the demo. It's terrible. I think I'm going to grab Zuma instead as that's fun and as an added bonus my wife likes it.

Bring on Double Dragon.

Really? I just went through four levels of the demo and fount it to be excellent - much better than Zuma. Better presentation, more interesting combo/powerup system, bonus stuff to collect, lots of game modes. It's basically Zuma with some extras and a better interface. I'll have the wife play it, if she's interested it's a purchase for me.

I had fun with the Luxor 2 demo, but what is preventing a purchase is the 4:3 aspect ratio of the game itself. No option at all to fill a widescreen TV, you always play inside a box.

I can see why classic arcade games would need to do this, but this is a new game, and no widescreen.

No sale.

QFT. Though I haven't played the 360 version the PC versions of Zuma/Luxor showed that Luxor was a much better game.

I'm scared to show the game to the wife, since when I bought Zuma I was banished from the 360 for like a month straight.

What happened?

I got totally addicted to Zuma but finally quit when spent hours and hours to get past level 8-6 . . . only to get level 8-7 instead of the expected stage 9. Forget it . . . too much playing the same damn levels over & over again. And it was no longer a puzzle game, it was a luck, peripheral vision, and reaction time game.

Sold. Damn it . . . probably a new addiction. :lol

Cheap lazy port for minimal development cost and maximum profit. FTL to gamers but FTW(?) for publisher?

(But I'll probably get it.)

Gyruss was scheduled for March according to konami. Maybe it has been moved to April.

and that crappy Golf game from Vivendi was supposed to be out in March too

Looks the the wave of great titles will definitely be over soon

I hope that's the right thread for this question:

I formatted my 360-HDD and "lost" Hexic HD. Now I thought I could just download it from XBLA, but I can't find it. Where can I get it now for free?

You might need to call 1-800-4my-xbox for that one. I recall reading about someone having the same issue; he had to call and get a download key for it.
