Bomberman for 600 pts? Sounds good to me. Wish it was 400 though but 600 seems fair.

Ill down load the Doritos game but im not expecting much.

I'm full of wonderfully stupid questions today.

Is there any way to buy just the code for a game to send to a friend? Or something? I'm in Taiwan and want to buy my brother in the States a few XBLA games for Xmas, but I don't think it's possible. I'd normally just buy the point card, but I'm pretty sure they're region-locked. Correct? What if I log onto his XBL from here and then redeem a points card...will that work?

None of what you are suggesting works.
Best way is to order a point card from Amazon and have it delivered to him.

I do wish you could gift games to other people like on the Wii. I've gifted about 3 or 4 games to people on the Wii, basically double dipping on the titles, for people that wouldn't have normally bought them. I don't know why Microsoft hasn't implimented the feature.

This week pretty much sucks for XBLA. I guess it's fine though since I'm distracted by Meteos Wars and a few other games.

Releasing only one XBLA game again is just stupid, especially when it's some dumb ad based game. I also can't believe how stingy they're being with these weekly deals. They can only manage one a deal a weak for one month? Also, how about being a bit more generous with the deals? They could only manage to knock 200 points off that XBLA game this week? It stinks of MS wanting people to end up with odd point amounts in their accounts so that they burn it on stupid themes and other junk.

It seems the Xbox.com splash pages updated early this week. Puzzle Arcade has popped up, complete with a release date for the 24th of December 2008. Just in time for Christmas.

I just recently got into Battlestar Galactica and noticed there's an XBLA game for it. I watched the trailer and wasn't very impressed. I downloaded the demo but haven't had a chance to check it out.

Anyone have some impressions of it? I liked the old school Wing Commander games and it seems to be a little bit like those from the trailer (although far less complex).

Since I doubt the online is very lively, I'd also like some single player impressions.

Play the demo for ten seconds and you won't have anymore questions.

Hint: It's awful and has 0% in common with old-school Wing Commander.

I call foul on this face plate, there are many titles listed on that thing that have not been released.

I wouldn't be surprised... Anyone can do one of these things I'm sure. :P

Gunstar Heroes. GUNSTAR HEROES!

They had online coop in Golden Axe and Streets of Rage, so they might have coop for GUNSTAR FREAKING HEROES!

YAY!

That looks like a full blown FPS.. nice to see that on the arcade. I hope it controls well, looks like it may be in line with Quake or Unreal as far as gameplay.

Is the Puzzle Quest expansion worth the 700 pts? Downloaded the game this week and it was pretty much all I played, so addictive. Price for the dlc seems kinda steep though

In my opinion, a huge NO.

I bought the game and the expansion as soon as they came out. The game is fantastic, played for hours, loved every minute.

The expansion, however, is half-baked, and worse, short. If I remember well it took me around 2 hours to finish every new quest (and there is only a hand of them). For 200 pts, yes, but for 700? Hell no.

If you're going to play online multi-player, I'd say yes. The four new classes are must-play. In terms of game content, it's rather light. If you're looking for a ton of new missions, it's somewhat disappointing on that front. If you play online multi-player though, the four new classes are must-haves. I have maxed out chars in all four of the new classes, so it's well worth it for me.

Puzzle Arcade is coming to XBLA this week

What happened to Shardbot? This week's XBLA game looks interesting. Has anyone played it on partnernet? Any impressions? I'm thinking of picking it up. I love anything with vision cam support.

Thanks for the dlc info Eggo and Chiaroscuro, looks like I'll be skipping it until (if?) they cut the price.

Right now I'm playing the copy of Gripshift that I won, awesome game really.
