That is true. They're in the same genre, but it's almost like comparing Quake 3 with Rainbow 6. Rocket Riot is frantic and frenzied while Death Tank seems to be much more tactical and methodical. The only weird thing is that XBLA/PSN have gone on for a long time without any of those types of games and now we get Crash Commando, Rocket Riot, and Death Tank in the span of a few months.Shig said:Rocket Riot is supposed to be this month.
It's odd that that and Death Tank would release so close together. They're very similar games, at the core.

D3Publisher is working on a retro-style side-scrolling XBLA and PSN action game intended to fill in the backstory of Matt Hazard, the lead character of Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. It's planned for release sometime this summer. (Eat Lead launches against Halo Wars on March 3.)
If you're not hip to Eat Lead's "hook," it's supposed to be the latest game in a long-running series, and Matt Hazard is supposed to be a "video game icon." Only it isn't and he's not. The downloadable game is ostensibly one of his past titles being made available for the first time in years. Only it's not. Get it?
We'd hazard a guess that this game could do well -- if the synthetic nostalgia and in-jokes of Eat Lead aren't lost on the larger gaming audience.

Caspel said:I've played them all recently and they are fairly complete if you ask me. Peggle is a blast to play as usual; I put in at least 2 hours playing it yesterday on the 360.
Edit: I spoke with Steve Fawkner yesterday about Puzzle Quest: Galactrix for about thirty minutes and he didn't seem to be confident that the 360 release would be out soon due to MS's rights to publish titles on their service whenever they feel like it. He did state that his favorite version was the 360 and that the game was already completed though.

Its official, at least on Nintendo DS and PC, Puzzle Quest: Galactrix launches today. Well have news on the XBLA and PSN versions soon.

The game will also debut on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system via PlayStation®Network in early 2009.
thanks. hope it comes out soon, the game looks awesome. maybe capcom pushed it back because of resi 5 and sf 4.Shard said:Obviously it has been delayed as XBLA titles are so often done, how long, I can't say. Not the only title delayed either since Cellfactor was also supposed to come out this month.

Well it's official, Sega are now doing something right. The Cyber Troopers are returning.
In the latest Famitsu Magazine, Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram has been confirmed for the Xbox Live Arcade - and only the Xbox Live Arcade it seems.
The Robot arena fighter will be getting a complete conversion over to the XBLA using V5.66 - the very final version released in the arcades. V5.66 was released after the Dreamcast version, and instead of using Sega's Model-3 arcade board was instead using the easier to use Naomi board used for games like Crazy Taxi and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. This version featured 3 additional Cyber Troopers as well as all the arenas added in the Dreamcast version.
The game looks to be a full update of the game, including wide screen support and online play over Xbox Live. It is planned for an April release for 1,200 Microsoft Points.

SEGA has re-registered yet another trademark for yet another Dreamcast game. This time, it's puzzler ChuChu Rocket.
On December 22, SEGA U.S. re-registered the ChuChu trademark one of many DC titles to get their TMs renewed. According to game site Siliconera, this year SEGA has re-registered trademarks for following Dreamcast games: Sonic Shuffle, Cosmic Smash, Jet Grind Radio and Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram.
Sure, this might just be SEGA protecting these trademarks, or it might be SEGA working on updates of these titles. Who knows? SEGA does, that's who.

February 24, 2009 - If you've been waiting to roundup sheep for your intergalactic probing, the finish line is now in sight. Flock will be coming to the PC on April 7, Xbox Live April 8, and PlayStation Network April 9. Using your spacecraft's beam of light, you'll need to nudge animals around a variety of Flock levels until the creatures are onboard your mothership. Sometimes you'll need to shrink the animals and sometimes you'll need to crush trees.
