I'm a huge SNK and KOF fan, but come on guys... let goofy Kyo flying through the air, more Ikari Warriors 4 or Iron Tank 2 or something.
 
Yeah I dunno. Sky Stage looks kind of cheap. I mean dang Kyo's hand doesn't even move or anything when he fires bullets.

Hopefully they release some screens with actual backgrounds as well.

The sprites look rendered btw...makes me pine for some ESP Ra De action.

Really? Even with Castle Crashers, Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, TMNT Arcade, Omega 5, Ikaruga, Watchmen, and Streets of Rage 2? If you count twin stick shooters then XBLA is downright saturated in those genres.

XBLA is weakest in racing games right now, although Outrun was well received. Strategy will also get a much needed boost when Darwinia+ comes out. The only genre that is completely absent on XBLA is adventure, but Sam and Max and Wallace and Gromit will remedy that.

Three hack & slashers, one original title, a port, an expensive cash-in, and another port. And no I'm not counting twin stick shooters.

In terms of fighters XBLA is seeing a ton of classics already out and on the way like Garou, two flavors of KoF, MvC2, and so and so forth. There is hardly anything of comparable pedigree to those titles in XBLA's shooter/beatemup library(Except Ikaruga I guess even though I'm not a huge fan of that one).
 
I also love how the character portraits in that KOF shooter are just ripped straight from the KOFXII poster. *laughs*

You know, I was thinking about it the other day... I might at this point say the single worst tragedy next-gen could possibly bring with it would be the inability to bring all of the XBLA games over to the new console. I'd almost regret losing backward compatibility for XBLA far more than I would for any of the retail games. I'm really curious (and a little afraid) to see how the big three are going to treat this gen's digital downloads when we move to the next gen of consoles.

XBLA on the original Xbox was clearly done as an experiment though, and had only a handful of titles. XBLA has become a major part of the 360, and I really can't see MS dropping that wholesale, especially when it'll be relatively easy for them to bring it to the new console. I think the worst you'll have to do is re-download the games you already bought. MS will probably come with a way to streamline that as well.

Space Invaders Extreme: 2009年4月配信予定 and Arkanoid: 2009年5月配信予定

I'd trust my instincts or translators if they hadn't given me 3 different answers for each, from April to June to October. Who knows why.

It's like Banjo-Kazooie but massive. I thought it was too easy to get lost...was a bit frustrating at times. Good fun in the end though. I'm buying it day one.
 
Space Invaders Extreme is April.

Arkanoid is May.

I find it hard to believe we're getting Banjo-Tooie, Spacer Invaders Extreme, and Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram next week, but if so that would make it the best XBLA day ever.

Love me some XBLA platform action. Theres not enough on there IMO.

SIE is planned to be released this month and Arkanoid the next month.

Unlike the previous two deleted scene-style DLC levels for The Maw, which focused primarily on presenting challenge in the form of puzzles, "Speeder Lane" is all about bringing more action into the scenario.

Priced at $1.25 (100 MS Points) and releasing on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Steam, Greenhouse, and Direct2Drive next Wednesday, "Speeder Lane" grants you access to the titular vehicle. Yep, that means you get to temporarily turn off your brain and blow stuff up.

Better yet, players will get to face off against an "old-school boss" near the end of the DLC pack. Considering how inexpensive the content is, I'm thinking it may be worth getting based on that aspect alone.
