Telltale Games design director Dave Grossman has said Tales of Monkey Island may appear on Xbox Live Arcade after release on PC and WiiWare, which launch this summer.
"We didn't so much decide not to put it on Xbox Live Arcade as we decided not to put it on XBLA now," Grossman told Eurogamer in an interview published this morning. "Normally what we do is PC and one of the other platforms, and we've been bouncing back and forth between them.
"Yeah, I mean I wouldn't rule it out. We might do that one later on."
The first episode of Tales of Monkey Island, Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, arrives for PC on 7th July. A WiiWare date is still TBC - a minor drawback of introducing a third party, explained Grossman.
And while PC, WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade have been the target so far, Grossman said the real dream is to span every possible platform, including PS3.
"We just haven't gotten there yet," he said. "Ultimately, we would like to be on every downloadable channel there is. We think that's the perfect place for our stuff to be.
"It was just luck of the draw how the business relationships worked out and what chips were falling where. And we have to get our engine working on the platform, which is quite a bit of work, so we only want to do one at a time.
"We wound up doing Xbox," he added, "but maybe later we'll do PlayStation - we'll see."
As for Mac and Linux, Grossman told us Telltale will "get there", but it's a matter of "how and when and can we actually afford to do it".
"But I'd like to see that, too," he said.

I can appreciate the graphics, sound, presentation but the game itself felt a little dull.
I guess from what we know of, it'd have to be KoF 98 UM? But I thought that wasn't expected until later in the year?cjelly said:MrPointyHead has tweeted again:

'Antichrist' Game Under Development
Game based on controversial movie "definitely not coming to Walmart," director says.
By Kat Bailey, 06/23/2009
Licensed games have been part of video games going back to the dawn of the medium. Everything from ET to Saw has gotten its own game at some point. This one goes arguably quite a bit beyond even Saw though.
MTV Multiplayer is reporting that Dutch director Lars Von Trier wants to make his controversial film Antichrist into a game. The movie debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, and ended up being so graphic that it actually earned the director an "anti-prize" from the judges, who called it "the most misogynist movie from the self-proclamed biggest director in the world."
It has a fan in Zentropa's Morten Iverson though, who has previously worked on titled such as Hitman. Zentropa is Von Trier's production company, and Iverson said that the director has been circulating the idea of making games for some time now.
Iverson admitted that it would be a tough game to tackle, saying, "[The movie] goes against all the conventions of how you make games and what you can do in games. Dead kids, nudity, graphic violence. It will be a very controversial game, and it'll be a game that doesn't really compare with anything else."
"We don't expect Wal-Mart to roll in crates of this and put it on their shelves. Absolutely not available at Wal-Mart!"
Titled Eden, after the film's cabin, the title is slated to be released on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam. Iverson described as a "nightmarish Myst."
As for the controversy that Iverson admitted that Eden would inevitably generate, he merely said, "Bring it on! Controversy!"
Eden is still early in development, but it should be arriving sometime next year.
I'm going to do that as soon as I get my code.. Which I've been waiting for all day now.Kukumalu said:Any risk of getting banned or losing the points if I make a US account while living in Europe?

Yosumin LIVE! had been updated to 250 total gamerscore with three new achievements. This update from xbox.com beats any official announcement of DLC for the game, but the achievements point to a new "Adventure Mode" being added. Obviously since it hasn't been announced, I have no idea on a release date or price, but stay tuned and I'll keep an eye out for more information.
